I have to admit I'm not a big Meat Loaf fan. Sorry Big guy! I'm more of a Mo town sound fan.

That aside I love Meat Loaf for what he has done for this site. Hoping he gets better. I didn't know he had a medical problem until Greg posted it. If he decides he'll show up in Las Vegas and really wants to do the 1250 AL Auction I'd step aside for him. Mind you this only for Meat Loaf.

Hang in there Big Guy!! ;)

Hang in there Big Guy!! ;) Yeah, Jan and Claire said that he had to cancel his world tour because of the cyst, but that his prognosis is good. He's currently golfing in the Bob Hope Pro Am, but I shot him an e-mail anyway to see if he can make it to Las Vegas. Let's hope he can.

No, it's not likely. I think the last year he played with the NFBC was 2006. He LOVED the auction format and one year he did three auctions over three days and when the last one was done he said to me "Do you have any more auctions? I just love these." He won an NFFC Main Event league title in 2006 and during an ESPN Classic interview he held up a yellow sign that said Las Vegas 1 League Champ!! :D He loved the fantasy game and I hear he is still playing online in another contest. But he was part of the Leaderboard Sports group that has since dissolved and when he went on the Bat Out Of Hell III world tour he was on the road continuously and really hasn't slowed down since that tour kicked off in 2007. I haven't heard from him in a few years, but I doubt he will be playing with us again this year. He's just too busy.

Anyway, he was a great competitor during our first three years and really a fun guy to have at the draft table in Las Vegas. He hated the Rio because it was a long walk to the convention center and everyone recognized him, but few people enjoyed the banter with the other owners more than he did. I hope that one day he's able to return and do it all over again.
