What a joke this guy is. He “wants to rest and spend time with his kids.” What’s this guy do for 6 months a year?

This guy pulled in over $45 million from 2000-2003 and almost $60 million from 1998-2003. Why did he even bother taking the Pirates measly $1.1 million contract this year?

Players like Raul Mondesi and the contract the fools in the Dodger organization laid on him are the reason the game is where it is today. This guy is a joke, he should be crucified in the press, but I guess we have to settle for the NFBC message board for now.

Is Mondesi worth "holding"? I know I can't be the only owner stuck with this guy.... Thoughts??
OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

Normally I would say no question. But I’m not convinced he’ll be back. He does NOT need the money. His contract has only for $1.1 million. This guy banked $60 million in the last six years; the remaining part of $1.1 million is NOTHING to this guy.

So you have a player whose skills have declined, his ego has taken a hit, he plays for a really crappy team, and no offense to Pittsburgh but I doubt Raul is having quite the nightlife in that city. All this equals absolutely no motivation to play. So my guess is that he’s done.

If you have 9 solid P’s and you are not rotating at all and if you don’t have a bench filled with DL guys then he may be worth holding onto. But I would utilize his roster spot and waive goodbye.

I have him in LV # 5 and am not a happy camper but I am going to wait a week or so before I take any action. I am just pissed that it happened right after I set my line-up for the week.

Nnoy,

If Mondesi isn't living up the nightlife in Pittsburgh, he should give the St Johns hoops team a call....I hear they know all the good spots in the city....

I am sick and tired of the retards in the press referring to the Mondesi situation as a “difficult legal dispute.” He’s being sued for $640,000. This guy made $60,000,000 over the last 6-years. This is the equivalent of someone that makes $50K being sued for $3,200. This is hardly a life-altering event for Mondesi.
