NFBC E-Mail Remains Down

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Feb 18, 2008 2:47 am

The Iola office is closed today because of President's Day and Tom and I are both off today to shovel snow!! I'll be in and out of the office from time to time today, but I'm finishing my taxes, refinancing my mortgage and doing other chores, so if you can't get a hold of me just leave a message. It's a mess around here after getting seven more inches of snow, so bare with us today.

Tom is updating the satellite league signups as they come in as I know some leagues are filling up fast. Hopefully he can provide an update on how many spots are still left in those leagues. We'd love to add more as some have requested, but it's getting tough to do with such a busy schedule.

If you need to get a hold of me, e-mail is the best form today: [email protected]. Be good and please make the snow stop!!!

I have always done Draft and Play leagues that look a lot like the NFBC Satellite leagues, but with smaller prizes and 10 teams instead of 15... but I'm considering doing satellites instead this year.. they are done by drafting through MDC, correct? And they are tracked the same way as any other NFBC league, with the same rules and FAAB and the like?

Once you're done drafting, everything returns to your NFBC game site where you run your teams. Good luck.

NFBC E-Mail Remains Down

This is an even worse announcement than our office being closed on Monday:

We have no e-mail today at work and it likely won't be fixed before tomorrow afternoon. Unreal and trust me it's mighty hard to work without e-mail access. We're struggling to get to the signup page for new registrants, too, so those will be delayed on the satellite leagues and live events. Tom is doing all he can to update those.

If you tried to contact either Tom or myself via e-mail, we've been unable to view that since last night. You can call us, but even that is tough as Tom is home sick today. Hopefully this will be fixed soon and life will resume via e-mail. Sorry all.

[/QUOTE]Yes. I have his phone number, but it doesn't even pay to call him because I can send the info to accounting. So I thought I'd call him once we get e-mail back, which may be a bit. No problem with you guys.

Just an FYI: Our company e-mail is still down today and Tom is still sidelined with the flu. Our e-mail will not be fixed before the afternoon, so if you've been trying to get a response from me via e-mail I apologize. I haven't seen an e-mail since Thursday night. If you need to contact me, do so at 715-445-4612, ext. 284. You can leave Tom a voice message at ext. 653, but he won't be in the office before Monday.

Sorry for this, but it's out of my hands. We'll try to get caught up with everything over the weekend via e-mail.

As if it can't get any worse here, our e-mail will now be down until Monday as it's obvious someone blew something up in Iola. Unreal. They are rebuilding our e-mail and I won't be able to see any e-mails or respond to anything through the weekend. Sorry and hopefully we won't lose any signups through this.

PM me here if you have any questions as thankfully nobody has blown up our Internet here.

I wanted to bump this back to the top so it doesn't get missed. But our work email is still down and it's possible it may not return until Tuesday. So if you have sent Greg or myself emails since Wednesday night and wondered why we haven't returned them that's why. Hopefully this mess is fixed by tomorrow and we can get things back up to speed relatively quickly. But right now it's an absolute mess and there's no indication it's going to be resolved in a timely fashion.

Our apologies for all of this.

Just an update on this - still no email for Greg or myself. We were supposed to have email up and running today but that obviously hasn't happened. I'm not even going to predict when we might actually get our email again.

It's uncertain whether we'll recapture all of the emails that were sent to us since last Wednesday night. Hopefully we will but again if you have been trying to reach either Greg or myself in the last week and have gotten no response the best way to do so is by phone using the contact #s in the post above this one.

Another update on this - we have been told we will not receive any email that was sent to us before today. Those emails are gone for good. Again, the best way to reach us for now is to call us but we have been told that once our email is back up and running we will receive emails that were sent to us today.

But again, if you sent an email to Greg or myself at any point between Wednesday evening and Monday evening we did not receive it and will not receive it. So if there was something urgent you needed to reach us about please call us instead until our email has returned.

If you e-mailed me at all since last Thursday, please resend it to my attention at [email protected] and I'll respond as soon as I can. This is a major clusterf.. on our part, but all we can do is try to address the e-mails we'll eventually get going forward. Nothing we can do about what was lost.

I'm already hearing from folks who wanted a spot in the auction leagues that are now full and they're not happy. It's not a good feeling for me as we pride ourselves on customer service and for six freakin' days we haven't responded to a single e-mail that folks have been sending us. Nor will they hear from us going forward as we never received those e-mails. I'm very frustrated by this as you can tell and it's likely prolonged our process of selling those final main event league spots.

I'm still without e-mail, but send away and maybe in the next 24 hours I'll also have e-mail access. Thanks all.
