He looks the part to a tee...I wonder if Hafner was scared away from using his normal PED's due to the crackdown.
Is a bet on Morneau just as much a bet on Mauer?
Would you be much more happy if your heavy hitter declined an invite to the Home Run Derby after watching the splits of David Wright 2 years ago (20 HR pre, 6HR post All Star Game), and Justin Morneau last year? (24 HR pre, 7 HR post)(as well as many others)
What was the blame ratio of the decline in SB attempts (25) for Soriano...health to Manager?
Having never drafted a DH only type player...I wonder how much it really hurts you in roster flexibility?
Can we assume the guys you never hear being talked about on the MB's are guys we hope we can get for value in the drafts? (Like C. Young SP, Haren, Smoltz)
How much of the "SF Giants running more in 2008" was just coachspeak? They'll have to manufacture runs with that lineup, though.
What happened to the depth of reliable SO closers??? (Valverde getting traded, K-Rod whining, Nathan losing Torri and Santana.) Seems a better plan to grab 2 of the top guys rather than 2 top catchers.(if you were going to draft in a crazy manner)
Do you root for your targeted players to have "blah" springs to stay off other peoples radar? Imagine how many rounds Weeks or Loney jump up with hot springs!
When is the first Spring Training game on T.V.!!!!

i heard an interesting reason why hafner bombed last year. something about hitting tennis balls traveling at speeds of 150mph. messed up his timing. this year, i'm looking for a rebound.
Morneau is a bet on Morneau being healthy.
soriano decline in SB is health related, as it will be this year.
i have no interest in C. Young SP, Haren, Smoltz

I've wondered the same about Hafner and won't draft him. I hate the DH only eligibility he brings as well.
Morneau will be solid, with or without Rocco Mauer's presence in the lineup.
You forgot Bob Abreu.
SB's and Soriano? I haven't a clue.
I think it limits you severely to draft a DH only. But other people are fine with it. Who knows?
I just think those guys aren't as flashy. They don't dominate one particular category but we all know or should know their worth.
That is just a bad/pathetic Giants team. I would be scared of drafting anyone off that team regardless the round!!
As always, the closer run should be fun:(
It's nice when "your" guy has a hot spring and I don't sweat the added attention he might get. Whatever happens, happens.
And man, I can't wait!!! I'm pretty sure it's a sign of sickness to have the MLB package and the Extra Innings Package, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right
