OA I like it. Sheets is very important to your success. SB are gonna be a problem. But you are not so far away form getting decent points there. so I'm sure you were planning on concentrating on that in-season. Grudz is a little redundant for your squad, a corner guy would have been a little better, but that late maybe there wasn't anybody. Solid.

I agree that steals could be shaky, and you will most likely have to have another "Judy" there, so along with Taveras, that will kill your power.

Sheets is a big part of your starters being successful.

Hudson in the 10th and Hart in the mid 4th are absolute steals.

Get some stolen bases somehow (without comprimising power), and keep Sheets healthy and I think you have a shot.

I like this team.

Concerns

--steals, as mentioned earlier

--Carrying 9 OF and very little injury cover in the IF (2B excepted)

But the format is set up so that everyone has holes somewhere (think about it: after 300 players come off the board, everybody still needs to draft at least three guys to play the opening week...). I think you have balance and you should be sniffing around the top of the standings all year long.

I think you did a really nice job. Big power in the first 4/5 rounds, solid pitching, still got 3 closers, and good last 10 picks. Manage it correctly and you are right at the top.

I would probably avoid guys like this and go for some more younger players with potential upside.

And I'm totally against waiting on catchers. The two you have will be serviceable, but I would get at least one WAAAAY earlier than you did.

R21 P14 RP Tom Gordon, PHI Varitek, Sexson, Dunn, Burrell, and Maybin could ALL hit under .250. To say BA will struggle is a huge understatement. You also seem to be a little light in SB's.

With the exception of wins, I think you will struggle in most pitching categories also.

Without seeing the other teams, I think you will have problems in at least 6 categories (5 points or less).

It is your first draft and if you have more, you can rectify these mistakes, as I can't see this team being better than average at best.

As of now.. I have run offensive projections for the entire league, and here is what I came up with.. My team will get..

Average(276.089)- 4

Runs(1124.5)- 10

HR(327)- 15

RBI(1172.8)- 15

SB(119.9)- 3

Which would put me overall as the 5th best offense in my league... Assuming a couple of pickups during the season can help my average and speed, I should be ok

those are good power numbers, but it is too hard to improve that average and their seems to be zero chance of improving SB, so 47 pts projected on offense but the pitching might not get 27 pts, very short on K's, ERA and WHIP cannot be fixed. Going to struggle alot with this team

I hate piling it on, but you would have a helluva pitching staff if it was 2002.

You really do need your team to exceed expectations. There's very little upside represented.
