lIKE THAT PITCHING STAFF,you will need cj wilson to get saves.Maybe some from Broxton and Wood.

Berkman at 17 seems a little high, would rather have Tex or Poppy .Nice pick with Mourneau at round 3 pick 14. good luck

It's a sat league. I love Big Tex, but I wanted the versatility and didn't think their #'s would be that different.

I think your pitching staff is better than average, but you will struggle in saves and with only 5 starters, wins and K's might be hard to come by.

Your speed is weak, and I don't see a whole lot of power either. I really think you will struggle with hitting. Having two catchers who will most likely both share time probably isn't going to help, as they will be inconsistent in every category.

Good luck! :D

Go big Tex or a power/speed combo guy- in our league in a similar situation. Not hurting myself b/c he is not getting back to me anyway. Overall a very respectable first stab. A little early for my tastes on a couple of guys but you have to take risks at the ends if you really like guys.

Two of the power/speed guys I was looking at were gone before my Round 2 pick. I would say that at about midway through the 3rd round, guys were flying off way before I thought they should have gone. To protect my spot, I probably grabbed a couple guys 1-3 rounds early. We'll see. It was a good learning experience. I don't anticipate as much chaos when there is much more on the line. But we'll see ;)

I appreciate your comments too billy. I think there is more power there than you give me credit for, but that's for the boys to decide in the coming months.

Thanks again guys.

Homer, to be brutally honest, what happened to the pitching, big mistake waiting til the 12th round for your 1st starter, you will struggle in all pitching cats, you will also struggle with speed. I see you in the bottom 3rd in at least 5 cats. Going to be a long season

I agree with Bobby J. If you do not go LIMA plan right away, you will have major pitching problems.

Homer, you never know what could happen over the course of the long season. Last season I picked up the following free agents:

Fausto Carmona

Ryan Braun

Carlos Pena

Soria

McGowen

Diaz

Without these guys, I would never have finished 2nd in my satelite league.

Yeah, I like this team. I waited on sp and got some guys with up side.

NorCalAtlFan, not as short as you think on SB, probably 8-10 in pts. Solid power numbers, could have found another SP and so more SV during the draft, I know you can find on waiver wire, but everyone has access to that after the draft and you could end up spending more than you want early

Very surprising Big Papi fell to you that late in rd 2!

Yeah, the catching is weak. Towles I'm ok with. There were guys I wanted that didn't fall to me when I wanted them. C est la vie. I have my eyes on 1-2 already, so we'll see.
