Main Event First Round ADP

All Right,

I know no one wants to give away their secrets this week......but does anyone want to take a shot at answering this question, and we'll check back in a little over a week to see who was closest.

List, in order, the top 15 ADP picks from this year's main event. I'm not interested in who YOU like, or who you want to pick, just take a shot at the ADP for next Saturday.

Best prediction gets......the satisfaction of being right, and we know that we are all interested in that!

Come on, we've got to be able to find SOMETHING to talk about this week!

I've had two satellite drafts, where I picked 12th and 14th, and Crawford didn't slip to me in either one.

I bet he goes in the top 10 in more drafts than not.

It wouldn't be fair for me to post a question and not give my own guess, so here goes...

1. A-Rod

2. Ramirez

3. Wright

4. Reyes

5. Holliday

6. Rollins

7. Cabrera

8. Utley

9. Howard

10. Crawford

11. Braun

12. Pujols

13. Soriano

14. Fielder

15. Sizemore

I think now that he is playing again we are due for some positive reports on Soriano this week, and that'll bring his ADP back up to where it was before. He's been so valuable in past years that he is a good gamble in the late first, compared to some of the more boring options.

I also think that someone on the tail end of each first round will take a shot at Pujols, as he is the biggest risk but also the biggest reward to win the $100K.

I also think that Santana will go in the second round of enough drafts to pull his ADP down a bit.

Billy Waz....I read your Crawford comment, so what are your predictions?

Here we go for fun:

ARod

Wright

Hanley

Reyes

Rollins

Holliday

Cabrera

Utley

Braun

Howard

Crawford

Santana

Fielder

Soriano

Pujols

Being at 13 I will have an interesting selection. Pujols? Santana? Fielder? Soriano? None of the above? Someone slips from the ADP reports? Better bring that lucky quarter of mine.

In my satellite tonight, I picked 10th but the most surprising 1st rd pick to me was Braun going 6th. Everyone sure does like Utley at 8.

I'll give it a shot....

1- Alex Rodriguez

2- David Wright

3- Hanley Ramirez

4- Jose Reyes

5- Jimmy Rollins

6- Matt Holliday

7- Miguel Cabrera

8- Chase Utley

9- Carl Crawford

10- Ryan Braun

11- Johan Santana

12- Prince Fielder

13- Ryan Howard

14- Albert Pujols

15- Grady Sizemore

I could see an even split between Wright and Hanley at 2/3, and also between Rollins and Holliday at 5/6.

Of course the deeper you go into the draft the less predictable things become, and the bottom 6 picks could be all over the place.

All in all, after it is all averaged though, this is where I think they will fall.

I think this question should start at pick nine. Certainly the top eight hitters, as a group, are an amazing consensus. In some leagues Santana will break into the top eight club but in most he will be part of the back room seven.

My list is like most others

1. ARod

2. Wright

3. Hanley

4. Reyes

5. Cabrera

6. Rollins

7. Holliday

8. Utley

9. Crawford

10. Braun

11. Howard

12. Ortiz

13. Pujols

14. Lee

15. Soriano

I just will not take a pitcher in the first three rounds. Of course, if everyone at the draft has that same philosophy, I would take Santana in the 3rd. Somehow I really doubt he would be there.
