looks like a $250 lesson in learning. Love the pitching, but man that offense is brutal

I have never done an auction before, but the offense is offensive, and I am not a big fan of the pitching either.
Whomever your #3 starter is, they are WELL behind the average #3 even with Santana and Peavy.
I'm afraid it looks to be a long year.

you have 5 starters that will hit under 260, that will kill your average, you also drafted 5 players that should start the season on the DL, you have zero room for error to start the season. Your other SP will kill your Santana and Peavy picks in ERA and WHIP. Of course we have no idea what the other teams look like or how much you spent on each player

Peavy, Santana, and Unit have to stay healthy. by healthy 25 starts for Unit.
Your spec plays in the OF Jones, Milledge, and Crisp have to give you a lot.
You have to get a closer on waivers.
If you do those things you can make some noise IMO but you will lucky to get a 5 in avg.
Not impossible, but a long road ahead.

Not impossible, but a long road ahead. I think you're being oftly nice Chest. Santana/Peavy is money, Randy Johnson is very nice with 25 starts, but I feel you blew it with your other pitchers. I think if you're aiming to build a dominant staff you build it top to bottom. As great as Peavy, Santana and Randy are, I see major question marks with the rest of your SP's. Only one closer to boot.
I like your power, but runs, BA, stolen bases look too weak to overcome. And that pitching, while very good, is not as dominant top to bottom as you're going to need in order to makeup for that offense.
Tough road ahead.
Good luck.
thanks for posting team, not everybody does for fear of criticism, so I give much respect for throwing your team out there to the wolves.
Looking forward to facing you in the March 26th satellite. Should be fun with half our league from last year combined with "ringers".
