Jason Grey -- Facilitator Extraordinaire

Post by Buster » Mon Mar 17, 2008 8:48 am

I was fortunate enough to participate in Las Vegas League Number 9. Not only did we have a great bunch of knowledgable owners, but we had a fantastic facilitator in JASON GREY. For those in Vegas, you saw that we finished our draft first, by a large margin.

Jason was solely responsible for this quick and enjoyable draft. He knew each and every player, he announced each player so that all could hear, and he had stickers placed on the board almost before we had finished announcing the player's names.

I've been with the NFBC since the beginning, and have participated in a number of NFBC drafts and auctions, and I can honestly say that I've never had a facilitator as good as Jason.

His assistant was great, as well.

Now, if only he could have drafted for me...

Yeah, I was in 10 and every time I looked up, you guys were further and further along than us. Our guys weren't too bad, but they weren't too familiar with all the names.

Buster Thanks Buster for calling Jason out in a positive way. We were short two facilitators on Saturday and of course Jason volunteered to do two jobs in LV9 and still you folks were done in 3 hours and 15 minutes, a new NFBC record. Unreal.

I hope everyone knows who Jason is. He's one of the best fantasy writers in the industry who covers the minor leagues better than anyone. He's written for Mastersball.com, FantasyBaseball.com, Rototimes.com, SI.com and other sites and in the last month he's been hired fulltime to write for ESPN.com. Congrats Jason on the new employment.

He competed in the $650 NL Auction League on Friday morning, was an auctioneer in the $650 Mixed Auction League Friday afternoon and then facilitated on Saturday. He said next year he's definitely adding the main event to one auction league, so he may be on the other side of the table next year on Saturday.
