NFBC vs. HOME LEAGUE!!!

Post by sportsbettingman » Tue Mar 18, 2008 10:37 am

Battle Royal! (just kidding)

I was wondering the input of how you tackle a home league vs. the NFBC main event?

Your home league opponents (most of them) do not follow these boards, nor do they know of or use MDC ADP reports. Most home leagues would also likely follow the 12 team format and be heavily influenced by fantasy magazines.

Are they two different beasts to attack differently...or do you just hammer away at the top talent players, then fill needs?

Are there really targets to shot for...or is every year very different in what each category takes to get the high points?

I just figured many of us NFBC players also ply in home leagues with familiar drafters, and wondered if you had a different game plan going in vs. your buddies. (Like stockpiling categories for future trading, etc.)

One is auction 12 teams with trades and is daily moves...with two free agent pickups per week max.

~Lance (If I could back out of both right now, I would...but they are already set up to draft in two weeks.)

My home league is very different. For example, Santana will likely be pick number 1 or 2. Pitching goes like hot cakes. To be honest, I have to adapt somewhat to what the others are doing or end up with ElDuque as my ace.
