Just curious what pick surprised you either in your draft or another?

Not in my draft, but when I was done I walked around the room and saw that Hanley Ramirez was drafted with the 7th pick in Round 1 in one of the NY leagues. That shocked me.

I had the same reaction when I walked around the NY draft room afterwards. How would you like to be the guy drafting Hanley with the 7th pick? Wow!

I was surprised to see Matt Kemp go in the 5th rd. If he plays daily, and produces nice. But I thought it was 2 rds early.

Cueto I believe was like 9th rd.

Cueto I believe was like 9th rd. Love Kemp as a Dodger fan, but I saw him go 4th round in a draft. May be a bit early for my taste.

Hamilton a couple weeks ago had a 9th round ADP

HE JUST KEPT CREEPING UP into the 5th and 6th round.Everybody is copying Jules.

Billingsley ,Gallarado, R Hill, were pitchers i like that moved up about 30 to 50 picks according to the ADP'S from a few week's ago.

Pitching really moved up in all most leagues, even the lower pitchers i like just didnt come close to were i was getting them 2 weeks ago

Greinke , Chamberlain, Marcum , just some other guys i couldnt get.I had to pay 15 for Greinke in the auction and would have gone more just because he came up late.

Pitching in the super was even worse , just crazy how pitching was going early. In the first 12 rounds 73 pitchers were taken , in my main in the first 12 rounds 62 pitchers were taken.

I am pretty sure I surprised everyone with Brandon Philips at 1.13 followed by Russel Martin at 2.3 - I will surprise far fewer when I finish 15th in my league....

OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

To further this point, 40 starting pitchers were off the board in the first 10 rounds. That's an astounding number that I have never seen exceeded. Given the circumstances of that draft, I was extremely happy to walk away with Peavy(2), Smoltz(7) and McGowan(10).

Jose Reyes 1.8 in Las Vegas 3. Watched him slide on down the table and thought Kelly was gonna crap.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in one of the Chicago leagues, team 15 picked Russell Martin #16 overall.

In Chicago League 4, the only pick that I remember off the top of my head: Dice K was drafted with the first pick in the 4th round. Early but if you really want him, go for it right? (although I think there was a good shot he still would've been there at the turn of Rd 5-6)

Las Vegas League # 1:

Miguel Cabrera slides to the the # 12 spot. Defending Champ Terry Haney knew exactly what to do with the pick. Like he needed the help. ;)

Looks like he went back to the well with last year's stars: Beckett and Takashi Saito. Is Rich Harden in the 12th round this year's Josh Beckett for him? Only time will tell.
Yikes. Helluva start for him. But alas, I'd bet my house Rich Harden doesn't make 175 innings or 20 starts.
With the way house values are falling in California, that's not much of a bet. C'mon, put some real value on this Harden bet!! :D
