Set Your Starting Lineups For Week 0

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Mar 24, 2008 9:33 am

Everyone, you must have your starting lineups set before tomorrow morning's first Japan Series game between Oakland and Boston to receive stats from anyone playing this week. There is also a Sunday night game between Atlanta and Washington, so make sure you have the players you want in your starting lineup to get stats from that game as well.

I believe first pitch tomorrow is 6:05 a.m. EST, so set your lineups now. Every NFBC league is loaded, including the satellite leagues from this weekend, so get your starting lineups set now. It's time to PLAY BALL!!!

These stats will fall under Week 0. Then on Monday you can reset your lineup for Week 1. Remember that FAAB runs on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST. Good luck all.

Greg, what happens if someone is drafting in one of the satellites tonight, Tuesday, or Wednesday? How will you and/or STATS handle the missed deadline?

I drafted Monday evening. For some reason it looked like the Draft java put my 11th-round pick, who is PITCHING in Japan, on the BENCH. And...

The League is still not loaded with less than three hours to the start of "week zero." Post on League Forum, plus e-mail to Tom K. and two Carbon Copy (NFBC managers) witnesses should, hopefully, insure the integrity of my start/sit preferences!!

Mark Ellis is leading the Majors in Home Runs! Who would of thought!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, I don't see my 3/23 @ 7pm $125 Satellite League 2 uploaded either.

Yes, give us today to get those rosters linked up with your team pages and then we'll let you folks know what we'll do with these first two games. Your rosters will be locked for Week 0 when you get access to your teams, but we'll figure this out. We have 7 more satellite league drafts tonight and 6 tomorrow and all 19 leagues this week will need to be loaded first and then the two Japan Series games will need to be dealt with. Just hang tight and we'll update that situation in the next few days. Just don't panic everyone!! ;)

I'm thinkin for week 0, anyone who has players in those 3 games should just automatically get the stats for them because all of us would have put our guys in for those games.. there's only 3 games, no reason why we wouldn't want the guys we have playing in those games not to start for us that week...

I'm saying this because as someone who drafted last night I didn't get the chance to set my lineup, but obviously I would have started all A's, Red Sox, Nationals, and Braves...

I dunno, guys....

I am corresponding with Tom and not getting what I consider good answers regarding this.

It appears that I will be able to bench Jon Lester if he gets shellacked, plus the teams in my League who own Street and Big Papi (if he goes 0-fer-4 again) will be able to sit them. In CDM circles we call these "cheat games" and not many people like them.

It won't be a good situation if the guy who benches Street wins the League by half a Roto point while at the same time beating out the 2nd place team in ERA by something like 0.0002!!

It seems to me like the only way to handle this may be to NOT count "week zero" for all of the Leagues for which rosters weren't entered on time??

If I had drafted blanton, I would hav sit him against red sox.

All the messages say there is a week zero for the later drafts.

So when I drafted R Harden and A embree last night I intend on getting the week zero stats.

Would it be fair to take those stats away????

If you have a Boston or A's player 98% of the time, you would play them in week zero.
