Looks like a great offense but pitching is a little thin .Smoltz in the 9th round is nice value but he's your horse and starting the year on the dl.Brad Penny is your number two and Greinke your three.I guess your not afraid of Hueston Street , a lot of guys talking about him on the message boards yesterday thinking he isnt healthy. If your pitching can be middle of the pack then you will need that offense to carry you.

He'll be on my bench for Week 0. :D

It looks to be a little Weeks in speed.

You found this year's Crown Jules.

I heard on the Steet that you might be pulling at Straws here.

I see a shortage on HR's..

There is no gaurentee 30+ HR guy out of these first 8 picks...

1.04 Jimmy Rollins SS

2.12 Victor Martinez C

3.04 Troy Tulowitzki MI

4.12 Hunter Pence OF

5.04 Justin Verlander SP1

6.12 Josh Hamilton OF

7.04 Howie Kendrick 2B

8.12 Alex Gordon 1B

But its a nice team and if you get EXTRA pop from these guys and the other bats..

But its a nice team and if you get EXTRA pop from these guys and the other bats.. I read somewhere on these boards that you need three 30/100 guys to win. I look at it this way: if 10 of your players hit 20-25 (maybe one of them breaks out), and 4 of them hit 10-15, you're going to be fine in power. The key to this approach (thanks, Shawn!) is having no Judy's.
If Kendrick doesen't hit 10 homers (again) this year, does he qualify as a Nancy since he won't have the sb's of a Judy? :D :D

<--Hates Kendrick. I don't care if he hits .700, when a non-catcher combines for 15 HR+SB, they're worthless.
Well, it's a good thing he doubles that this year. Kendrick early fourth round pick next year. I can see the excitement.

Shawn, just for fun, list the players with 30 or more home runs this year. Just by some of your posts it seems extensive.

I see this as 165-180 HRs. Draft Cust and Gomes late and that is 240 without trying.
