Great for the Rockies, but fantasy numbers take the hit. if he's healthy (like with all players)...i'll have no problem taking him in the top 10 rounds next year. even if he hits 2nd next year (which i doubt), he'll trade some rbi's for some runs. same BA, same hr, same colorado. still the same player, just with a slightly different piece to the overall puzzle.

negative on these. Francoeur will never get there hitting that low in the lineup. to date, his stats look good because of all the at bats, not his skill level.
marjajis will still hold up well for next year, unless trembley dies and the running game goes out the window.

I don't think so. His numbers will look very close to Freddy Sanchez, who is available at 15 a lot. I want more punch from a corner.

get over your man crush of sanchez!!! he's not that good, esp since he's always hurt and getting checked by mr andrews!!!

I had a funny feeling (bad funny) re: Chone this year.
Is anyone concerned with his 1 SB 3 CS so far?

~Lance Not a concern, one of the cs I saw was actually getting picked. He doesen't have much to prove in that regard, less wear and tear.

~Lance Lance... which players have the most SB's this spring?
A: Guys that have to prove themselves.
Velez, gathright, Gomez, Posednik, Ambercrombie
Never worry about proven talent in the spring.

Helton goes in the 15th, Conor Jackson goes in the eighth. Markakis was my 'underperformer' in the Gekko contest so I don't disagree. Francouer improves this year, but I'm not sure it's that much. He is a .280 guy with 30 HR and no speed, I think. Agree completely on Dye, Beltran, Pedroia, Verlander, Jackson.
I don't know if Peavy falls that far. He won't be as good as last year, but it's not going to be 2006 again either. I liked Helton this year where he was going, but it was more for the lack of guys after him. Loney was going in around the same spot and I'm not crazy about him. Renteria will be buried next year.
Chris Young will have to get the batting average up. I like him to do it, but one thing that worries me is that his highest average in a month last year was .253. He was consistently bad rather than having a Kouzmanoff type year. I think Upton will do a lot of adjusting this year. I love his potential but not right away.

I wonder if their has ever been an NL 5 or 6 hole hitter taken in the 1st round of any draft in the history of baseball? I guess if Greg goes with the 70 team lg concept it's possible.

Burnett in the 7th? Oh my!
Patrick - I can see why u don't like helton. Your main event team has a real shot at hitting in the 260's!

Never worry about proven talent in the spring. [/QUOTE]I understand, and would not be concerned with the lack of attempts (4)...but when you are caught 3 times (even if one was a pickoff)...it would concern me a bit.
I doubt he's half assing his steal attempts.

I doubt he's half assing his steal attempts.Half-assing it on the bases shall henceforth be known as choning* it on the bases.
*The ch is pronounced like the Ch in Chuck.
Example: The A's lost because Emil Brown was choning it on the bases.

Unless you're Vin Scully, then it's "SHANEing".

Since I don't have the Main Event ADP (GREG!!!

)...I'll go off my league and predict these guys flip flop rounds taken in 2009.

Andrew Jones and Garret Anderson
Dan Haren and Brett Myers
Adrian Beltre and Kevin Kouzmanoff
F-Rod and Mariano Rivera
Victor Martinez and Joe Mauer
Juan Pierre and Michael Bourne
These players will go undrafted in 2009 NFBC Main...(swan song year)
Trevor Hoffman
Eric Gagne
Nomar Garciaparra
Jason Schmidt
