Hidecki Matsui

Among the things lost during all the opening day festivities was the Yankees lineup. Matsui has been dropped down to the eighth spot while Giambi and Cano were elevated to the five and six spots.

Long overdue for Cano to move up, but Matsui owners have to be disappointed to see less ab's. As for Giambi hitting five, I can only guess that Girardi had a talk with Wayne about contract years before making out his lineup.

be interesting to see how long he stays in the 8 spot, esp. if the yanks start losing a few. afterall, he is an RBI machine

Well, I am not sure it is going to work for me, so am not sure it will work for Girardi!
