Remember the Friday DL Rule

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Apr 03, 2008 7:37 am

Just a note to new NFBC owners and a reminder to NFBC veterans that you are allowed to replace any DL player each Friday with a player from your reserve roster as long as that keeps your lineup legal. Here's the rule that applies:

"Owners are allowed to remove a player (or players) who is officially on the DL from their starting lineup with one of their players from their reserve roster before each Friday's first game as long as the position eligibility works out. Players must officially be on Major League Baseball's DL list according to STATS and the NFBC by 12:01 a.m. on Friday for this move (or moves) to take effect for the weekend games."

Here's an example of how the rule works this week: Pedro Martinez officially went on the DL last night after pulling a hamstring on Tuesday. You can reserve Pedro before tomorrow's first game and put in a different pitcher for your starting lineup. The rule was put in place to help teams who suffer serious injuries during the week.

Good luck and remember that the injured players MUST officially be on the MLB DL list by midnight each Thursday to make this move. No additions will be made after midnight Thursday. Good luck all.
