According to the New York Post, Rich Harden traveled to New York on Monday, likely for a physical in advance of a trade with the New York Yankees.



A clean bill of health would be the last hurdle standing between the Athletics and Yankees and one of the most significant trades in franchise history.



The Athletics would get would get right-handed starting pitcher Phil Hughes in exchange for three players, highlighted by Rich Harden. Sorry all for the late April Fool's joke. The Athletics also would send two minor league pitchers to the Yankees to complete the deal.

Rich Harden has been scratched from his start tomorrow night. He is now expected to start Saturday at Cleveland, according to an e-mail from the team's P.R. department.
