Vin Scully pointed out that since Chris Young signed his new contract, he is 1-11, a single, with six strikeouts.

What about the 2 for 4 with a homer on Monday?

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I'm not a Dodgers fan but I will always enjoy their games because of Vin. One of the very best.

Speaking of Dodgers, how about Juan "Judy" Pierre banging home his first rbi of the year?

fudd- fyi- here is why i love about cub fans: $15 to park? cub fans pay $50 to park at a gas station a mile away. no guarantee they can get out when the games is over. $100 for 4? it is more than that to sit in the bleachers. they will now be auctioning seats along the 3rd base line. $1000 a seat, easy. AND THEY DON"T HAVE TO WIN!

We need Torre to suit up and play 3rd, Andruw Jones is a wreck, Judy Pierre is a complete mess. Jason Scihit is just that. Looney is a good role player and nothing more. Martin is a catcher and over rated at that. Clark Kent will disapear into a phone booth and come out injured soon. Furcal is servicable. Kemp is a mess on the bases, injury prone, over hyped, unproven and a whiner in the clubhouse. The pitching is AAB. Saito does not inspire to even stay until the end of the game.

Put all that together, with sky rocketing ticket prices, horrible angles to watch the game since the new seating arrangements, $15.00 to park, $100+ for 4 under cooked Dodger dogs and Beers. Don't even get me started with the Raider fans that are now Dodger fans and you have a Perfect Storm.

Vinnie can butcher names, forget things, call Barry Bonds Bobby, but he's the ONLY thing that is right with these Dodgers. This is not the Dodger Stadium that I grew up loving. They stink and once Vinny's gone, I doubt I'll ever be caught watching the game except for fantasy purposes. I always bring my radio to the Stadium so I'm not bored stiff watching the grass grow.

FUDD As a Giants fan, I would kill for a team that putrid. Although, I agree the stadium is filled with yahoo's who have no problem shouting C*nt of Mother F'er in front of a 6 or 70 year old.
