Figure the CHX/O's game is going to raise some questions with the game being suspended. Found a similiar thing from last year that was posted on the message boards. Why make TOM K work so hard?

Here is how STATS handled last years suspended game. Figure they do the same again this year. Hope this helps. The way I read it, you receive todays stats now. When they complete the game at a later date they will back those stats into this weeks final numbers. May have to hold off on awarding the WEEK # 5 prize.

How are stats being handled from this suspended game that will resume play today?

Have the stats already been included for what has happened up to the susp play? Or will the stats from the game be added once the game has gone final?

TOM KESSENICH:

Here's the response from STATS:

Those stats that get accumulated during the finish of the suspended game tonight count towards the original game back in June. So, once the game

finishes tonight, we need to re-run scoring for the week that this game originally started in June to update the scores for teams from that week. The stats do not get applied to a users lineup he has today.

Let me make sure I understand...

once the Sox-Os game is completed at a later date, we will get credited for the stats for this game back dated to today?

I think what he was saying is the stats will show for this week and then when the game is complete the stats that have not already been accounted for will be added to week 5's scoring so the actual winner for this week may not be known until the game ends.

It is interesting to guess when the game will be complete as Baltimore does not travel to the south side of Chicago again. They both have off days on May 19th and June 16th; but, I find those silly travelling days on Baltimore's end. Travelling from east coast to Chicago and back east for a potential 1 inning game.

My guess is Monday, June 23rd as the White Sox complete a weekend series with the Cubs and the Orioles start a interleague series @ Wrigley on June 24th.

CATCH's crystal ball. :D

Being that this is not a H2H based game...and "when" you get your stats is irrelevant to the league and overall...it would seem logical to simply add the games played to their daily live scoring totals on the days they were played. (I'll guess they do that too..."IF" those players are still rostered by those teams.)

When a player is cut...his added finish appears back-dated?

Damn men made of sugar can't play in the rain. ;)

Here's the official word from STATS: All stats from yesterday are counted now and once the game is resumed, those new stats go back to this week's period, so anyone that has those players in their lineup right now still get credit for any new stats once the game is finished but someone can't start those players later in the season and get credit then.

The game will be resumed on August 25 in Baltimore, which is the next time the clubs play each other.
