Soriano or Berkman? Crazy stats. I can't believe Berkman has kept it this locked in for so long. He and Soriano are single handedly trying to save the train wreck that is my $1300 auction team...

Speaking of locked in...Cliff Lee vs. Thomas Alva Edison Volquez...I'm betting the OVER 7.5 due to **** has to balance out sometime with these two guys...they are not this good.

~Lance Think you're right Lance, maybe something like a 7-5 ballgame.

Volquez worked out of trouble all day and Lee gave up HR's when in trouble. There goes that sub 1 era. Man I thought it would last all year.

I think we can take Soriano off the locked in list.

Add Uggla. I have him in Mag II and wondering when I should sit him down!
Seriously, he is not a .323 hitter and even this power surge is over his head. But right now...WOW!

No bet, but it is close and the underlying question should remain. How long do you ride "Locked-In" Uggla?
Coming into this year, Berkman was a career .3004 BA. This year as of yesterday he was at .3882 or a difference (that Berkman owners are very happy with) of .0878 higher BA.
Uggla in his first two years was a "career" .2574 BA. This year he his .3230 or .0656 higher BA. Uggla owners are happy (anyone have both?).
If Berkman were to get his "average" at bats (517 AB is his average for 2001 to 2007) but end up with his BA at his seven year average, he will hit .2565 the rest of the way.
If Uggla were to get his "average" at bats (622 AB is his average for 2006 to 2007) but end up with his BA at his two year average, he will hit .2343 the rest of the way.
Not exactly scientific I know, but based on pure math, the currently locked-in Uggla is a greater risk to your future BA if he becomes a average Uggla (i.e. more AB with greater downside).
Just conjecture for fun, but in Mag II, I might start looking for a good MI back-up better than the one I have (one Mr. Uribe currently stinking it up again in Chicago).
