pettite, burnett and zambrano pitch today??? wow, even if you had 2 of the 3 go it has gotta leave a mark......

Funny thing was we watched him get out of that 6th and get all pumped up like he does and my partner and I agreed that he should be taken out cause as soon as he gets himself going like that he implodes and sure enough, he imploded.

I have Zambrano.Get home from work look at a bit of the game.No runs through five feeling good.Go upstairs take a shower come back to the ballgame and what the heck happened?Had the same thing happen with Wainright earlier this week.Six shutout innings and boom.Pitchers will drive you nuts.At least with a hitter a couple of hits early and it is a good game period.

I missed the game, but announcers were talking about three misplayed balls that led to all or many of the runs Zambrano gave up; none were ruled errors though.

Tonight we had Bronson Arroyo and Greg Smith start, plus Francisco Cordero, Joaquin Benoit and Francisco Rodriguez out of the bullpen. Totals:



13.2 IP

9.22 ERA

2.12 WHIP

12 K's

0 wins

1 save (1 BS)



Despite this we lead our league in ERA and were 2nd in WHIP entering tonight, although yeah, that will leave a mark. And cost us three points.

As a Felix owner, 3 times this year he's had a shutout or only 1 run allowed entering the 8th inning and the Mariners leave him in there to get roughed up...Last time it happened against the Red Sox, 7 shutout innings, comes in to pitch the 8th and finishes with still 7 innings and 4 earned runs. Frustrating.

Getting back to the Chicago defense, that is the one thing that can/will hold them back this year. That is a below avg d they run out there. Soriano is a butcher and Fukodome has had trouble out there at times as well. TheRiot is not going to remind anyone of Ozzie either. Basically A Ram and Lee are above avg and Soto is probably avg-above avg. The rest? Below avg-brutal.
