Ummm, he's at 51 pitches, so perhaps there's an alternate explanation?
BTW there's no crying in baseball.

from cbssports.com in-game blog:
"With 2 strikes and 2 outs on Ramon Castro. Hernandez throws the ball in the dirt, but Clement makes a nice stop to prevent a wild pitch from happening. Two pitches later, Hernandez throws a wild pitch the reserve catcher cannot field and here comes the Beltran express. Hernandez stands to make the tag at home base and Beltran slides right into his ankle. Hernandez is hurt! There's a team meeting at the mound to discuss the injury. Hernandez throws a warmup pitch and he's jumping in pain. He's pleading to throw out of this inning. Not happening."

I guess it's OK to hate his guts now.
But no crying.

It really didn't look that bad, but after his pitch, he was hopping around in major pain. He was assisted off the field by two others.
Again, it didn't look that bad, but he definitely rolled his ankle.

Update as of 10:42pm EDT:
The word currently is a slight sprain. A negative x-ray and Felix is talking like he won't miss a start. However, the team would be crazy not to skip at least once just to be safe, but for now they are dismissing the need to use the DL as an option.
:fingerscrossed:

I can't imagine Seattle being crazy enough to let him start on Sunday. He is one of a very few payers worth anything on the team and they are OUT of it. Whatch them pull one of these day-to-day moves and then retro him to the DL after you set your lineup on Monday night. That move never fails.
Don't have him, but have had many like him. Had Church day-to-day for what seemed like 8 months....
