I have to admit, as a Brewers' fan this has been a wild week to watch games. Prince Fielder hits a walkoff homer on Tuesday night, they win again on Wednesday night and then last night Ryan Braun hits a walkoff grand slam.
But as a pure baseball fan, the action has been just as intriguing and exciting. Last night was a perfect example of why you HAVE to have MLB Extra Innings. The Mets were tied 6-6 with the Cubs, the Brewers were tied 1-1 with the Pirates and the Twins were down 6-4 but soon tied 6-6. All three games ended within a short timeframe of each other with walkoff hits. Great drama and great action.
I sure hope the weather doesn't get in the way of action this weekend because this really could be one of the best weekends of baseball in MLB history. You have three teams battling for two playoff spots in the NL and you still have two divisional races up for grabs in the AL. Anything can happen. What a great time to be a baseball fan.
Oh, and I see a lot of close NFBC races as well. I sure hope the season ends this weekend, but there's a scenario where games could go into Monday and even Tuesday if a three-way tie exists in the NL. Oh boy, hang on folks. This could be a wild ride to the finish line. Good luck all.
