1.How did it feel to win the league title?

Winning the league title felt good, especially when your league (Chicago 4) was the toughest league according to the total points ranking.

2. What were the keys to your championship season?

The keys to the season were nailing some late-round picks (rounds 19-30). We picked up Randy Johnson, Carlos Quentin and Milton Bradley all in the later rounds. So many owners get too excited for the early rounds. The second half of the draft is where championship teams are made.

3. Was there a point in the season when you began to realistically believe you could win the title?

I knew I had my league wrapped up with two months to go, but I was focusing on the overall title. We took the overall lead in early August and kept it up until two weeks to go in the season. Robert Jurney was breathing down our neck as he eventually took down the whole thing. I ended up taking fourth overall as my team was running on fumes the last month of the season. Losing Kinsler and Quentin to season ending injuries killed me as I was just trying to hold on.

4. What draft day strategies worked out the best?

No major strategies other than waiting on closers as I waited until rounds 11 and 13 to take a closer. Bottom line for me is to recognize good value and build a balanced team.

5. Did any not work out the way you planned?

Not really

6. How did FAAB work for you?

It is always important and it definitely played a big part in my season. I was able to land Cliff Lee for $1 on the first Sunday of the season. I also picked up Kelly Shoppach, which was a huge help.

7. How was the competition in your league and the overall event?

The competition was strong, as Chicago 4 was rated as the toughest league. Overall, the NFBC is very competitive and has some of the finest baseball minds around.

8. How long have you been playing fantasy football/fantasy sports?

I've been playing fantasy sports for about 14 years and three years in the NFBC.

9. Personal info - married/single, where do you live, what do you do for a living?

Single, recently engaged, though. I just moved to Lexington, Kentucky where I am the Operations Manager for Amazon.com distribution.
