Out here in the desert I always seem to miss the chats and I was wondering what some of y'all thought about Sir Lance (not the bettingman :D ) we know he cool

Will Berkman steal 18 again like last yr? Or revert back to the guy w/ 3 steals from '06?

After Cliff Lee's improbable rise last yr, I felt that this sudden boost in SB's was abit of a shocker. I know that every speed demon is not necessarily a smart baserunner, and some slow guys are indeed wise on the basepaths, (Larry Walker comes to mind), but man that had to be a sweet surprise for LB owners!

All you have to know is that in 8.46 years he's averaged 9 stolen bases every 162 games. While he had 15 stolen bases in the first half last year (clearly an aberration) he had only 3 in the 2nd half, closer to his norm.

He's about to turn 33 (in 4 days) and he's no stranger to knee surgeries. He just doubled his previous career high out of nowhere. You can't expect that to happen again. Put him down in your projections for 5-10 sb's and enjoy the rest of the numbers.

Berkman has spent his off-season in Jamaica training with Usain Bolt.

I got him down for 20+ sb's
