Slow Draft League Offerings For Mid-February
With Draft Day just five weeks away, I thought I'd start one last thread to see if anyone wanted to jump into the Slow Draft League format before the satellite league season starts. These are great because they are 45 rounds and don't include any in-season FAAB bidding. What you draft is what you get.
Here's a twist this week: We offered three free NFBC main event entries for the $325 price and those went quickly early on. The $250 offering didn't fill, so let's use the same principle at $250 and see if it fills. We'll offer two free entries for the top two teams in the $250 DC and $400 to the third place finisher.
We'll also offer one more $125 Slow Draft DC. Here's the list of each event and the owners who showed an interest in playing in the first league that fills:
Here we go:
$325, 45-round Draft Champions Slow Draft, Pay Top 3 finishers a free entry in the 2010 NFBC main event
$250, 45-round Draft Champions Slow Draft, Pay Top 3: $2,000, $750, $250
$125, 45-round Draft Champions Slow Draft, Pay Top 3: $1,000, $375, $125
Here's the concept: 15 owners, 45 rounds, no FAAB during the season, and we'll pay the top three finishers in each event. So the roster you draft is what you have to work with during the season. There are no pickups, but you still set your starting lineup each week and make moves on Friday for DL players if needed.
Here you go:
$325 NFBC Draft Champions Slow Draft League No. 4
On MockDraftCentral.com starting when league fills
$325 Entry Fee, Pay $1,300 or 2010 NFBC main event free entry to Top 3 finishers
1. Don Brady
2. Jim Stanard
3. Craig Kielinski
4. Matt Marshall
5. Terry Passalaqua
6. Andy Nolan/Chris Stephenson (will do this if it fills first)

8. Scott Martin
9. Gaetan Lavoie
10. John Bono
11. Terry Lewis
12. Mike Konemann
13. Ari Benjamin

When its your turn, you get up to 12 hours to make a selection, although most select within 5-10 minutes. You get an email when its your turn, and also continued updates every so often on other people's turns.
When its your turn, you just log into MDC, everything is saved just like you left it, and you make your selection. Or you just leave the draft window open all day.
Simple.

That also means an easier season since you don't have to worry about Sunday FAAB; all you have to do is set a new starting lineup each Monday.
The draft is set up on MockDraftCentral.com and once the draft order is set we run it. Each owner has 12 hours to make a selection and we usually get through three rounds a day. The Chat room becomes a fun social networking area where you can bounce off opinions on certain players, strategies, etc. It's cool and after two weeks you get to see a lot of players drafted and meet a lot of neat NFBC folks.
And you might even win some money or a free entry into the 2010 NFBC main event. Sound good?

Greg/Tom,
We have 4 so far interested in an NL Only draft. We wanted to know if we could have it added to the list, hoping it gets another 9 to fill it.
Thank you,
Mike
