Main Event Charges To Start Today: Shooting For 390 Teams

Sorry folks, but today the charges are going to begin for the NFBC main event!! It's time to pay the bills around here.
We are starting to hit credit cards this afternoon and it will take a few days to get through this early list. We have some owners who have requested that we wait until March 6th to hit their cards and those requests have all been guaranteed. Any new signups for the main event that come through from here until our deadline will be charged right away.
We will likely hit the full auction leagues next week and then start on the Ultimates and Supers the next week. We will probably start on the credit cards for the Online Championship around March 11th or 12th as those will take some time as well.
Just a clarification about the 2009 NFBC main event: All prizes are based on 390 teams. I know early in the year I had mentioned that we were shooting for 405 teams and in some print ads we mentioned that a sellout would be 27 leagues. But we officially settled on a guaranteed prize package based on the same 390 teams and 26 leagues that we had last year. The link with the guaranteed prizes has been that way since our redesigned site went live. If we can get up to 405 this year somehow, we all know that the fifth through eighth place overall prizes will increase.
Here's the Overall Prizes guarantee for 2009:
National Fantasy Baseball Championship
Overall Grand Champion: $100,000, plus a crystal trophy
Second Place: $20,000
Third Place: $12,500
Fourth Place: $6,000
Fifth Place: $3,000
Sixth Place: $1,500
Seventh Place: $1,300, or Free NFBC Entry in 2010
Eighth Place: $1,300 or Free NFBC Entry in 2010
Ninth Place: $1,300 or Free NFBC Entry in 2010
Tenth Place: $1,300 or Free NFBC Entry in 2010
Eleventh Place: $1,300 or Free NFBC Entry in 2010
Each (26) League Champion: $5,000
Each (26) League 2nd place finisher: $2,500
Each (26) League 3rd place finisher: $1,250
I think we all agree that we'd like to eventually raise fourth through 11th place and hopefully we will one day if we grow beyond 390 teams. But right now this is the remaining money outside of our league prizes. Let's keep growing and trust me the pot will grow as well.
Thanks all and we have just over 100 spots left for the main event.
