I have pulled my hamstring many times, and it isn't something that once it is fixed, it is fixed.

Plus, I don't have all the doctors, trainers, whirlpools, etc. that Mr. Billingsley has.

Also lets keep in mind he isn't an outfielder or something. He only has to work every 5 or 6 days for goodness sake!

No doctor, no mri because as a student, it didnt interfere with my PRIMARY life of studying and drinking. Pulled groins only bother you if you are trying to accelerate and or change direction. Also I had no health insurance.

A pulled groin, hamstring or any muscle, usually means that there is a tear of some degree to the muscle. So how long it takes to heal depends upon how big the tear is and how fast the person's body heals. If the muscle or tendon is torn through, it is bad...very bad.

Assuming it is a mild tear or moderate one, the muscle will eventually heal but be imminently susceptible to future tears (see Ryan Braun, Rickey Henderson, Jose Reyes, Baldelli)) As such, proper stretching and warm up is necessary. It is my feeling that the younger the person is, generally, the faster the healing.

If Bill's tear is modest to minimal, two weeks or so of solid rest should be enough. If I were Brewers or Dodgers Id shut the two down until April 4 and the reevaluate.

No I saw the saying in one of my wife's magazines, and liked it. Do your co-workers acknowledge the expression?

FULL of read-worthy stuff, and goes DEEP into player pool. Full glossy, and spot-on on many players. It goes easy on the ads, and has great content.

TUCSON -- Chad Billingsley's scheduled bullpen session today will take place on Friday instead -- at least according to the tentative schedule set by pitching coach Rick Honeycutt. If Billingsley makes it through that session without any problems, he'll pitch in a simulated game on Sunday. He was originally scheduled to make a start in a Cactus League game that day.

One can hope. You know those back injuries!! Dicey to say the least. Let's hope for a quick recovery!

On one of my many teams, yes sir. Not been a good start so far with all these "injuries"

Hopefully it's just a case of teams being cautious with their assets.

if the draft were today, i wouldn't take cbill in the first 8 rounds. he's falling and fast. too bad there ain't anything to do, but watch his bullpen session tomorrow get postponed and then watch him go for mri.

prediction: cbill owners as a whole will not make out good in 2009.
