Online Championship drops - different ruling than Main?

Post by Crazy Like a Fox » Sun Apr 12, 2009 5:10 am

With 12 team leagues and $40,000 on the line, there are going to be some drops this year that will bring leagues into an uproar.

Since there are so many more quality players available via free agency, I'm wondering how often Greg will have to make a decision as to whether a player is taken out of the player pool after a drop.

There should be more leeway allowing good players to be dropped because this format will motivate more FA action than the NFBC has ever seen IMO.

Imagine if Furcal goes on the DL in August for 15 days, and the team who owns him is way ahead in stolen bases and already has a viable replacement that can help in homers and rbi's which they desperately need. In that situation shouldn't that player be allowed in the player pool? It will be interesting to see how this is handled.

Just like Tulo was taken out of the player pool in the Main last year (which I disagreed with) if the similar situation happens in the OC, it needs to be looked at differently.

Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? Greg already addressed this in a previous post. Look at the history in the General Discussion Thread and you should find it.
