holy confusion

im not a math major....or even a minor ...but...my pitchers gave up 4 earned runs in 16 innings(meche,lohse) and my era for the day is .3983...what am i missing?

mystery solved...although stats show no other pitcher pitched today i checked boxscores ....balfour 3 runs allowed without getting an out...thanks king
