Looking For All Team Stats

I know some of the game site features are a bit different this year and I've had similar calls from folks looking for complete stats for their teams. I didn't even realize there was a pulldown menu for this, but when you first go to

STATS

pulldown to TEAM STATS

you get a quick version of your team from the night before. If you pull down the link that says FANTASY to STANDARD you'll get all of the hits, hits allowed, walks, etc., that you need.

Some folks also couldn't find yesterday's stats and of course there is a pulldown to the left of that one that says Period 3 now, but you can see Period 2, Period 1, Period 0, Yesterday and other stats.

Also, I know our initial league page with the team standings doesn't have a Change +/- column, but I've asked STATS to try and fit that in going forward. I think we had that in the past on that page. Of course, you can find the +/- by going to

STANDINGS

LEAGUE

Hope that helps. Sorry if this is all known to most MB regulars, but some folks were having trouble finding some of this information.

A couple improvements I'd like to see looked at for next year. Just some thoughts.

1. To be able to click on percentage owned from top to bottom for a particular position. I remember seeing percentage owned/active being incorrect earlier this year but looks like it's been fixed.

2. When clicking on 2008 stats for free agents, it would be nice to have the players ranked in order of value from that year, not 2009.

3. When scrolling down to "overall standings" it automatically defaults to the Main Event overall. Why not give the fantasy player the ability to click which default it should go to? It's always 2 clicks to get to where I want to go. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying.

4. It would be nice to be able to lookup different fantasy players to see how they're doing. I look up a few buddies and it's not easy to scroll 600 player names to find them.

5. Player news is less than desirable. Maybe connect with rotoworld next year for player news. Much more up to date information. I find that I just go elsewhere for player news. It would also be beneficial to have an email update on updated player notes as many other sites already do this.

6. There is a probable starters link but that's limited information for what fantasy leaguers are looking for. It would be more beneficial to have a 2 start pitchers link for free agents. That's all we care about. If we want to see if our own pitchers are having 2 starts we can look at our own page. Free agent 2 start pitchers are what we care about.

7. Combined awards for online championship. $17.50 of my $350 entry fee goes towards an award that I have nothing to do with. $10,000 goes towards combined awards. Instead you could add a 4th place $300 finish to every single league in the online championship or add a whopping $10,000 to the overall prize. Of course this year you have to make the Main Event members happy as they comprise probably 60% of the OC, but in the future, that percentage will be less and less. Doesn't seem fair although the Main Event members I'm sure love it and I will to when I finally enter.

8. Breakdown showing stats per position for the year. With so many in-season transactions, injuries it's always nice to know how you do in each slot although no website currently does this. Curious how difficult it would be to do this.

9. It would be nice for the league message board to have links to each comment. Such as top 5 most recent posts with a reply button. The #1 reason there has been little talk on the league message boards over my 3 years in the NFBC IMO has been the setup. Plus, not everybody likes to see posts covering half the main league page. I just think the league page and stat arrangement could be more aesthetically pleasing ala Yahoo. I do see improvements from last year which I appreciate but I'm sure you realize there's always room for improvement.

10. One extra move per week (ok, mentioned in different thread.)

These are small gripes but I know have been echoed by quite a few I've come into contact with. Just some suggestions for next year. I wouldn't mention these things if I didn't care.

Hopefully looked at as constructive criticism.
