and the dead team finished 55th

The totally dead team from NY5 ended up 55th overall and was in 4th place in its league – only ½ point out of third. It had Nick Johnson as a starter all season long. And I ask, who would have collected the money if “Nick the Stick” was benched in favor of any Tom, Dick or Harry or Ben? With David Ortiz in its UTIL slot, any MLB living, breathing player could have taken over the UTIL slot after moving Ortiz to CI. Ben Grieve was on the team’s bench all season. I think he would have been worth a positive 1 point, don’t you?

My team ended up 56th overall. I also used all of my $1000 FAAB over the season. The dead team edged me out. I am embarrassed. But then I finished ahead of 139 other teams. Congratulations to all of us. We were whooped by a corpse.
