Are we not going to be able to substitute an active player for Manny. If no I think rules need to be changed to include drug suspension players for the future.
We already got kicked in the nuts no need to step on them while we are down.

No help for you, only for dl'ed players. Another case where changing position players or making Friday moves would provide relief for Managers.

We already got kicked in the nuts no need to step on them while we are down. Manny is not on the DL. This is no different than a 3-game suspension or a 5-game suspension or a player going on Bereavement leave. In each case, you are not allowed to replace him for the weekend.

We already got kicked in the nuts no need to step on them while we are down. Just like Manny, Your team benefitted from the juice and now you pay the price.

I didn’t mean to suggest that I don’t have a juicer on my team or that I wouldn’t draft one if I thought they would give me the numbers I need. I just meant that you can’t be asking to DL this player as if they pulled a hammy.

for next year, my suggestion would be to not draft any big power hitters for fear that they could be suspended for PED's.

I see this different then a 3 or 5 game suspension. In those cases we usually see the incident and then make the choice of playing someone or not because the suspension usually takes a few days to be handed out. On top of that many players appeal too buying more time.
In Manny's case the suspension started immediately and is for a huge amount of time. We had no chance to speculate this may be coming down the Pike.
I understand we can't change the rules midstream but the Friday change is to assure owners don't have dead players over the weekend. By using it just for the DL players is not the spirit of the rule. This I am sure of. I would have no control over my player not playing whether it is because of injury, or suspension. Why do owners that get an injury get an advantage over owners who have players that get a suspension.
To me this can't even be argued but to only say the rule is written a certain way, suspensions were not thought about, and they will be written in for next year. Otherwise DL players should suffer just like suspension players. Why should we be punished... we didn't advise him to take steroids(although maybe we would have) haha

I agree 100% with Rucrew2's first post. Teams with Manny benefited from from his illegal drugs. Now they are going to be penalized. At least owners with Manny will be able to get him out of there next week. It's going to hurt, but it won't necessarily wreck the season for those teams that have him.

You already got what most will give you in a week so it's not all bad.

To those suggesting it's our fault for drafting Manny...there's 103 other players on that list (it's coming out sooner or later) and you might be next.

Friday moves would have also have been nice for ARod owners.
For those owners with both of them on their roster, a double whammy.
