Manny Acta
Does anybody else feel sorry for this guy? Yea, yea, I know, look at what he is doing and the money he's making, but from a purely baseball perspective....you have to feel sorry for him.

Why? He's not exactly made brilliant moves there. I hear about what a great guy he is, and perhaps he is. Doesn't excuse his bad decisions.

Have you seen what he has to work with? What moves to do expect him to make?

I could argue that he has more to work with than some managers.
He's got a solid 2-5. Hell, Guzman ain't much, but not terrible. He's got a solid catcher in Flores. He's got some decent pitchers to work with. Sure, the pen was just deplorable to start the season. But after watching a couple games and seeing firsthand his handling of said pen, well, my sympathies for mr acta went away.
On the whole, certainly they are a few players away. But he still has enough working parts to not be as bad as they are. I don't think he deserves a free pass.
