Cubs recalled 1B Jake Fox from Triple-A Iowa.



Fox, who has previous minor league experience from 2007, was hitting a ridiculous .423/.503/.886 with 17 home runs in 149 at-bats. The Cubs want to boost their offense, so he will see some time.



the is the news that everyone has been waiting for. i don't have enough FAAB left to acquire him, so might as well post his info so that he goes for fair value...



in only 149 AAA at bats this year, Fox has:

an eyepopping 14 doubles

an eyepopping 17 hr's

an eyepopping 40 runs

an eyepopping 50 rbi's

an eyepopping .423 batting avg

an eyepopping .503 OBP

an eyepopping 1.389 OPS



these #'s put braun, ladno laporta, and gameover gamel to pasture.

I agree, I just got 3 calls...back 2 back 2 back from some of my friends that are cubs fans. It's this years Max Scherzer for FA bucks. Esp since CI is so weak this year, it's hard to find a plug in with that type of talent. Another plus is that he can play all over the field. Great utility player for the cubbies. I just wish he could play ss or 2nd



GG, I also listened to on the sports show with Jeff, outstanding job man! Your communication skills are well above average, very clear and precise on your material. Your research on fantasy sports shows in many different ways. I can't even explain how cool I thought that show was. It was my first time tunning in to something like that with a live chat-room.

Where's he going to play?

They're having trouble finding room for Micah already.

I don't know, 3 x at AAA with nothing too promising till this year. Throw in the fact the PCL doesn't have the individual arms the IL has.

Not sure I'd drink the kool aid just yet.

On the flip side, maybe he's a late bloomer. I guess we'll find out soon.

I don't have much experience when it comes to the NFBC, but where is he going to play?



OF, 3RD, or 1st.



Bradley is acting the Bradley way once again. Not even injuried and having problems?



Soriano is having a great year, but there is chatter of him moving to 2nd base.



Fukudome also having a good year, but could sit once in awhile to keep his battery charged.



Derek Lee could be in line to lose some time. He needs to take at least a game off every 5 games.



Fontenot could also move back to 2nd base.



Bobby Scales back at AAA.



Ryan Freel is an off the bench utility type of player, dont see him being an everyday starter.



Who knows, maybe he will just be another Huff-power riding the pine? Maybe a trade comming for the Cubbies? Maybe M. Hoffpauir or Fox go back to AAA after Aramis comes back?

i'm not sure what you mean "every single fantasy player". i'm pretty sure i never talked up Josh Fields...
