Just some odd notes to a sometimes odd season...
The attendance in Toronto for a Roy Halladay pitched game yesterday was 13,713.
The attendance in Milwaukee yesterday for a Parra pitched game was 40,226.
David's and Goliath....Nolan Reimold has as many home runs as David Wright and David Ortiz...combined.
Albert Pujols has 38 bb's and 16 k's
Chris Davis has 10 bb's and 71 k's
Ben Francisco is 8-9 with 5 hr's and 12 rbi vs. Andy Sonnanstine
Alex Gordon is 0-9 vs Sonnanstine
The name Badenhop...should be a swedish infielder who makes excuses
Whooda thunk?
Arroyo 7 wins, Matsuzaka 0 wins
Danys Baez 4 wins,Jordan Zimmerman, 2 wins
Bobby Abreu 19 rbi, 15 sb's
Seattle's hitting has been pathetic enough that Russell Branyan has not hit with the bases loaded this year. And on the same note, Ichiro has been on base over 75 times and only scored 16 runs.
Leadoff hitter Marco Scutaro has 37 bb's this year
Leadoff hitter Christian Guzman has 3 bb this year
Combined, Mauer, Morneau, and Kubel are hitting over .350
Chris Young's slg pctg is .311, David Ortiz, .298
Raul Ibanez is .707
Piling on Ortiz....
David has scored 15 runs hitting third in the Boston Red Sox lineup
Jason Kendall has scored 15 runs hitting 8th in the N.L. Milwaukee Brewers lineup
BJ Upton has 9 rbi in 173 ab's
Jordan Schafer has 8 rbi in 153 ab's
Joe Mauer has 32 in 87 ab's
Orlando Cabrera has 44 hits, 38 are singles
During May, Dexter Fowler has 2 sb's and 0 hr's.
His early splits are telling us that he may be a Coors hitter, hitting nearly .300 at home and under .250 on the road
Speaking of the Rockies, when the season began, a problem was how to get both Garrett Atkins and Ian Stewart's bats in the lineup at the same time.
Together they have solved the problem, both are hitting below the Mendoza line, and both merit time on the bench.
