Have you given any thought to eliminating one of the catcher positions in the auction leagues. It always seemed stupid to me for fantasy leagues to be required to start more catchers than there are starters in the NL or AL.



I can understand it in mixed leagues, there are enough starting catchers available to fill 2 starting spots but in NL only or AL only auction leagues it forces you to start a back up bench catcher. I'm sure it's in the rules because it has always been that way but it's a dumb rule and should be changed.

No Ken, we'll still have the 23 required spots like every other Rotisserie league. I realize that it's kind of a wasted position, but sometimes you can land an up-and-coming catcher who pays big dividends down the road. There are a few things I don't necessarily agree with the Founding Fathers on, but for the most part I think the 23-man roster for Rotisserie leagues is a worthy setup.



I am going to propose a rules change with the Auction Leagues shortly in a separate thread. Basically it deals with the reserve rounds. Check that out soon.
