Without missing a beat, a customer versed in spanish replied, "Thats what I'm here for!"
Nicely done!

always thought he was overrated... his MLEs in the minors were hardly anything to get excited about, at least for this year...

Overrated? Hmmm...not sure I agree Mr. Dave. Maybe in 2009 impact which is what you may have meant, but not talent wise. His MLE, just like all his minor league stats, are minimal as his total stats are minimal (i.e. only 144 IP in the minors).
Did people get a little too excited by a cup of coffee late last year and in the playoffs? Yes. But I do not think he is overrated. Just young. He could use a little seasoning, but he could just as well rip off seven or eight mind boggling starts.

Off subject but what about Tommy Hanson and his walk total to date! i didnt know the major league plate is further away than the minor league plate.
Where has his control gone??!?!?!

I was referring to his impact this year, but actually I'm just not nearly as high on him as others... I'd take Buchholz's future over Price's any day... He's young in terms of inexperience in the minors, but he was supposed to be MLB-ready pretty much out of the draft as a college pitcher... he's almost 24 years old... You can look at a guy like Gallardo, who is the same age as Price but with more innings pitched in the minors obviously, but Gallardo dominated.. his K/9 and MLE's were way better.. maybe Price would start dominating in the minors eventually, but I don't see him as a dominant ace type of pitcher like that... he's plenty talented though.. I'd say he will be a #2 SP in the majors

price= i like his attitude. i like gallardos also. i will take both. hanson= you need to see him pitch. he will adjust, but as of now this whole- geez i am REALLY a different pitcher with guys on base- is a problem. teams that run are gonna give him problems.

Where has his control gone??!?!?! I think Hanson is learning that he can get the minor leaguers to go fishing for that stuff off the plate. But,the big guys just spit on it and wait for a strike.
