Position Changes

What do these guys have in common?

Carlos Guillen

Chris Davis

Chris Coghlan

Conor Jackson

Gordon Beckham

Vladimer Guerrero

Mark DeRosa

Pat Burrell

Hidecki Matsui

Michael Young

They all have varying degrees of ability and age, but all will be knocked down a peg or two due to not qualifying at the positions that they had last year.

Coghlan and Beckham had fine rookie years, but it will be a lot harder to take those guys without their middle infield status. Coghlan will be OF eligible while Beckham is 3b.

DeRosa keeps his dual eligibility, but for the first time, it comes without mi status. He will be 3b-OF.

Davis loses 3b eligibility.

Jackson loses 1b eligibility.

Guillen is only an OF'er.

Young will only be at 3b.

Burrell, Guerrero, and Matsui are all relegated to the lowest form of ballplayer, the dh.

Here are guys that may go a little sooner due to better eligibility-

Ben Zobrist

Asdrubal Cabrera

Daniel Murphy

Gary Sheffield

Jake Fox

Jhonny Peralta

Mark Teahen

Pablo Sandoval

Sandoval will have 1b-3b status.

Zobrist loses SS, but gains 2b and OF

Murphy gains 1b

Peralta gains 3b while keeping ss

Teahen goes back to 3b

Fox is 3b and OF

Cabrera adds ss

Sheffield loses the dh and gains OF

I'm sure there are more, these are just some of the noteables.

Brandon Inge may suffer the most as he no longer qualifies at Catcher.
I feel like I'm the Jerry Quarry of the NFBC.

On the unofficial list, Mark Reynolds should be 1b-3b, instead of 3b-of

i think michael young is a huge loser in eligibility. BIG diff going from MI to 3B. his pop and avg. made him a solid MI pick. he's lost his speed, so he's just a so-so 3b option.
