Damn there must be a secret web site that I've been shut out of. I knew I was a pain, but I always paid on time. I know fanball would never be so stupid as to decide to do two drafts on different weekends without hotels being set up???? Would they??? I know they would at least have a web site to signup? Unless fanball lacks ahh balls??? Money Problems? :D :D :D

We are very close to finishing those now. I was just in Chicago yesterday to finalize that contract and we'll announce that this morning. The two East Coast locations are close enough to be finalized that I think we can announce both today or early next week.

At that point, we'll open the 2010 NFBC for registrations. I think we'll have this ready next week. This is the latest we've ever opened signups for the NFBC, but we needed to make sure we had our new web site ready with all of the various events outlined, costs figured out and hotels secured. A few more days before we take signups won't hurt anyone. Thanks for your patience.

Money??? I think we just distributed over $1 million in prize money in record time. No worries there my friend. ;)

At least when Gekko quits each year, he does it with "style".

Walla Walla, you are simply a bitter ________ (fill in your favorite word)!

Sorry, but if the shoe fits....... :D

Money Problems? :D :D :D To be fair, with the Fanball merger and all the new ideas, dates, and events being added, some additional ramp up time had to be anticipated.

I'm sure that next year, things will move along a little smoother as most of this will already be in place and it'll just be a matter of re-upping rather than starting anew.

It's like that with any business in any industry, so to expect something different here is unfair.

As far as Fanball is concerned, it still remains to be seen if the merger is a positive or a negative. Way too early to tell. I will say that most of the new ideas being floated out there represent a tremendous positive thus far. I'm hopeful that the website, the live drafts, the back-end server, etc. all prove to be positives as well....we shall see.

What doesn't seem to be in question is that you have issues. This is like the tenth time you've quit in my one year here.....

I'm hopeful that its just some inside joke between you and Greg and doesn't actually represent who you really are.

First I think Greg and Tom are Great!!

Second things have changed. Sitting out a year is not a big thing. Sorry Dan I won't see you this year. Same with Geeko. Glen it is what it is!

Honestly, I've never really understood why some folks decide to go public with either quitting or joining or hedging or whatever. Who cares? It's not like one person is going to sway others. John, you do this all the time. Why can't you just sit on the sidelines until you have all the facts and then make a decision? Publicly saying you quit just opens you up for later posts when you return and you always do.

I have no problem with folks sitting on the sidelines and waiting for us to prove you wrong again. Folks who don't trust in Tom and Greg can sit out a season or two if they want, but nothing has changed. Yeah, we have a new web site coming and contracts to finalize with five separate hotels. This year is different not because Fanball owns the NFBC but because we were unable to work on hotel contracts during the summer like we always do because F+W was in the process of selling the NFBC and I wasn't able to work on the hotels in advance. So here we are in November still finalizing everything.

Most people realize that. But for those who need to see every single detail before rejoining, no problem. We'll sell out in March and have the best year ever at some of the most unique venues we've ever had. These events are going to be special and 2010 is going to be very special. If someone wants to watch to make sure everything is fine here, so be it. Those who trust in me and Tom won't be disappointed. I'll make sure of that.

Yes, some things are changing. Some things might even be a work in progress, like the new web site and Registration page, and even the back-end game site. But we're not going to fail in any of this and in fact we must improve in all of those areas to be successful and remain the leader in this space. We have no other choice.

Everyone, do me a favor, and hold your decisions private. But when we open the Registration page next week, I guarantee you many loyal NFBC owners will be back in full force. Most of them realize that we are going to improve this and in fact we already are.

Greg

For what its worth....

My son and I are going to be playing in the ME for the first time this year. (We've been facilitators in NY for the last 3 years)

We're like kids in a candy store! I keep calling him at college everytime there's an update and fill him in.

We can't decide where we want to draft or on what date. It's all good! Waiting to see where that NY location is going to be (I'm betting on the stadium and that's going to make our decision a tough one).

Frankly, I don't see what the fuss is all about.

We're stoked! :D
