First NFBC Diamond League Is Sold Out
Posted: Fri Dec 11, 2009 11:27 am
We're happy to unveil our new NFBC Diamond League this year and before I could even discuss the details we're close to a sellout. WOW!! Is that cool or what?
The NFBC Diamond League will be held in a private suite at the Bellagio on Sunday, March 28th at 10 am PT. We will offer one in New York if demand warrants it, but it's obvious that we will sell out at least one of these in Las Vegas. We currently have 10 owners signed up for this league, leaving us with FIVE OPEN SPOTS.
The rules of the NFBC Diamond League are the same as any other NFBC 15-team draft league. The difference is the payout, obviously. We are paying back 93.3% in prizes and we are hosting this in a private suite at the Bellagio. This is going to be very special and the treatment of our participants is going to be special, too. Wait until they tell you about it.
Anyway, I'm going to let the participants finalize our payout for this league. When Ryan first discussed it he felt it was a good idea to pay back 4 spots with prizes. That would leave us with the current payout that is on the NFBC Diamond site:
1st Place: $75,000
2nd Place: $35,000
3rd Place: $20,000
4th Place: $10,000
However, there was talk that by paying four spots it could create too many unique strategies and hurt the league. We're willing to pay out whatever the group wants. So it's at Top 4 now unless a good majority wants it to be a Top 3 payout league. Under that scenario we just go like this:
1st Place: $80,000
2nd Place: $40,000
3rd Place: $20,000
You folks let us know what you want and we'll finalize this shortly. Sound good?
Also, if anyone is signing up for the Diamond League, let me know if you are interested in applying for the Black Diamond VIP package. Since I'm signing up most of you already, I can make it a full package if you'd like. We will reserve extra limos if we have to and it looks like we will have to!!
But that's a good thing.
Here's the Black Diamond Package that's available to you folks who buy the Diamond + Classic + Double Play + Auction Championship:
** Includes 1 free night at the Bellagio
** Includes free limo ride from the airport to the Bellagio
** Introduction to private Bellagio casino host
** Invitation to NFBC's first Sweet 16 VIP Party
** Exclusive VIP Badge, VIP Entry and concierge service
** No Events Fee or co-manager fees for any of the events
Just say you want that here and I'll take care of the rest.
