We've waited long enough to get the 2010 NFBC season started. Now it's time to GET IT ON!!!

On this thread I will welcome back every signup for our live events and give you a little background of each owner you will be competing against for the $1 million-plus in prize money. It makes perfect sense to start this thread out by introducing our defending main event champion, Lindy Hinkelman of Greencreek, Idaho, who will be with us on March 26-28 at the Bellagio.

This is Lindy's sixth season with the NFBC, but it sure will be tough to top last year's historic season. Lindy earned a record $241,300 last year as he became our newest NFBC Money Leader. He won the $100,000 grand prize in the main event, $5,000 for his league title, $41,300 for winning the debut NFBC Online Championship, a $75,000 bonus for winning both the main event and the Online Championship, and $15,000 for placing second in the NFBC Ultimate Auction League. Wow.

It was a season for the ages and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Lindy simply dominated each of his leagues and put up scoring totals that were hard to comprehend. The 57-year-old hog farmer had the top players pegged -- pun intended -- last year and isn't sitting on his laurels. He traveled to the Arizona Fall League in November and already has a scouting report on the game's top prospects.

Lindy will be returning to Las Vegas for a full slate of events, defending his title in the NFBC Classic main event on Saturday, March 27 at the Bellagio while also competing on Sunday, March 28 in the NFBC Ultimate Auction League. Lindy will also take a shot at the debut NFBC Auction Championship on Friday, March 26 at the Bellagio and will compete in the Live Double Play on Saturday, March 27th after the main event. We're glad to have you back Lindy and we want to give you one last CONGRATULATIONS on the record season. Good luck duplicating that season and in the quest of becoming our first two-time overall champion.

Give me some time and I'll catch up with the rest of the current signups. But for now, marvel at Lindy's accomplishments because they really are unbelievable.
