I just quickly browsed the rules for the Classic and Satellite leagues. It seems there are some changes. I guess I wonder if my initial readings are true and wonder what else is coming.
1. Fanball will be the location for our teams. Is STATS involved this year or not? Will all the normal options we previously had still exit?
2. For satellite leagues, it sounds like the online drafts will be at the Fanball site. Can we do mock drafts there? I found setting up the lists using my preferences was not a quick task and seeing how things happen ahead of time is really imnportant.
3. I read that changes to hitters can be made on Fridays. It didn't sound as if the changes needed to involve officially disabled players. Is this true? Can disabled pitchers be replaced or are the static for the entire week.
4. The FAAB procedures took several years to refine. Will they all carry forward or do we start over in the development process?
5. On satellite league, we always had a land line phone number to call if the inevitable computer glitches occurred. Will this be the same? People even were allowed to change picks under special cases. Will that also exist?
There may be more but this jumped out.

There may be more but this jumped out. Mike, all of these points have been addressed in different threads on General NFBC Discussion, but it's good to put them all together here, I guess. Here you go:
1. Yes, we are building the infrastructure for the NFBC web site. It makes the most sense for us to have all of this in-house so that we can make text changes to the rules, change photos on the site, update it, etc. Fanball can do all of that, whereas F+W Media needed to hire STATS for everything on the back end.
As for running the game, we'll see. We have two options and we continue to work on both. I'll know all of that part in the next 7-10 days. STATS has been great to work with and I'd love to continue working with them, but we'll see.
2. We are using MockDraftCentral.com right now for all of our Slow Drafts and we'll see about the satellite league season. MDC was sold this week and thus we haven't had the chance to discuss this with the new owners. We will build our own draft software if needed, but we will discuss with MDC.com when we can about continuing to work with them on all of this. So far all is working fine with our Slow Drafts on MDC.com and Geoff is still working hard for us/them.
3. Yes, you can now move any reserve hitter into your starting lineup on Friday. It replaces the Friday DL Rule for hitters, which actually caused more time for owners each week than this new rule. However, pitchers can not be taken out of your starting lineup on Friday unless they are officially on the DL by 12:01 am on Friday.
4. The new FAAB was unveiled two years ago by STATS and allowed many owners to play multiple leagues because it saved them so much time on Sundays. Whoever we use will have this function in place, that's for sure. We know that the FAAB, Copy and Move features are key to your Sundays and one way or another we will have them in place. Trust me, we've had more meetings on this internally and with NFBC members than any subject to date.
5. Fanball has customer service and we will provide that number.
I hope this helps.
