$75,000 Cash Bonus Returns To NFBC In 2010

It seemed like an impossible bonus plan last year in the NFBC as we offered a $75,000 cash bonus to anyone who could win the overall title in the NFBC main event and the overall title in the NFBC Online Championship . But Lindy Hinkelman beat the odds last year and proved that ANYTHING is possible in fantasy baseball.



Our grand champion won the main event title and then rallied during the final week of the regular season to also win the debut NFBC Online Championship, earning a $75,000 cash bonus during our first year of offering this carrot. Lindy beat 389 teams in the main event and he beat 599 teams in the Online Championship.



The $75,000 cash bonus will return again in 2010 for anyone who plays in both the main event and the Double Play (Live or Online). However, the odds will be slightly greater this year as our goal is to sell out 405 spots in the main event and 1,020 in the Double Play. The odds are big, but dreams do come true in the NFBC, as Lindy proved last year!!



We'll provide the insurance, you just secure your spots in both contests. We love this format because those are different games and it shows which owners can excel in our 15-team format of the NFBC main event and who can excel in our 12-team NFBC Double Play format. May the best owners win, and if ONE OWNER wins both, we'll gladly pay off the $75,000 cash prize.

I wanted to bump this post up again because everything is in place again to offer the $75,000 cash bonus to anyone who wins the $60,000 Double Play overall title and the $100,000 NFBC Classic main event overall title. Lindy Hinkelman accomplished both feats in 2009 as he took home a record-setting $241,300 in prizes.



Our insurance company that provided the incentive last year did its due diligence that took a few months, but Lindy has received his $75,000 cash bonus and even got that in 2010 so that he can enjoy it a little longer before taxed kick in!! We're glad that whole process is done now, but Lindy was great and so was our insurer.



In fact, we are back with the same insurer for 2010 so they realize that Lindy beat the odds and that the plan is still in their favor for 2010. Who wants to beat the odds and do it again?? We hope to have 405 or more teams in the main event and 1,020 in the Double Play, so it will be tougher this year, but that's what makes this so much fun. Lindy, Kevin Schiller and Ken Magner all had a good shot at this double win last year and it was fun to watch them jockey for the top spots all year long. It will be fun to watch that happen again this year.



So I'm going to promote the $75,000 cash bonus a little heavier as we get closer to Draft Day. Everyone who is in the NFBC main event should consider an NFBC Double Play entry -- either live or online -- because the bonus is out there and we've proven it can be won. Plus it's great to see who really can handle the 15-team competition and the 12-team competition better than anyone else. Lindy DOMINATED in both formats last year and he even finished second in the Ultimate Auction league, so NOBODY was better than him in 2009. But this is a new year, so let's try again.

You wouldn't think anyone could win the $75,000 cash bonus after it was just accomplished last year by Lindy Hinkelman, but keep an eye on that cagey Michael Cameron. His main event team is currently second overall and he has an Online Double Play team that is currently 13th overall. Mike leads the Combined Standings through today and he has an outside chance at "The Lindy." Congrats on the fast start Mike and good luck the rest of the way.
