I'm very interested in signing up but I have one major question. There obviously must be a salary cap for your team however I do not see the amount listed anywhere. Is there a cap that your whole roster must stay under or just your starting line-up?

These contests are snake drafts and $260 auctions. There is no salary cap. In the snake draft, random draft positions are drawn for each league and you pick players when it's your turn. The draft goes 1,2,3,4.....14,15,15,14,13....3,2,1,1,2 and so on till all rosters are full.
For the auctions, players are tossed out and the high bidder wins that player. You must fill your 23 man roster with your alloted $260

So what you're sayin is you have $260 to bid on your 30 players. If you pick #1 and take Bonds at, let's say $50, you then have $210 left for your other 29 picks.

In the auction leagues, if Barry Bonds was the first player put up and, after a spirited series of bids, you won Barry for $50, then you would have $210 left for your remaining 29 players.
In the snake drafts, if you drew the #1 slot and then selected Barry Bonds, he would be yours and you would have a "short" wait of 28 picks before your got back-to-back picks (#30 & #31 overall).

Allison, us Cheeseheads can figure this out together. Let's meet at Lambeau Field, bring some MGD, Johnsonville brats and Dr. McGillicuddy's and have a tailgate party and discuss this matter. You up for that?
Here's the deal: There are only dollar values in the auction leagues. In the main NFBC draft on Saturday, March 19th where 300 teams are competing for $5,000 league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize, there is no bidding involved. It is a straight draft, serpentine fashion with picks 1 through 15 in the odd-numbered rounds and 15 through 1 in the even-numbered rounds. You pick 30 players and compete against 14 other teams in your league for the best cumulative stats in 10 categories. You do have an imaginary $1,000 Free Agent Allocation Budget to buy free agents during the 26 weeks of the season, so spend that money wisely and find 2005's version of Chone Figgins and Coco Crisp.
In the Auction Leagues on Friday, March 18th, you have an imaginary $260 to buy 23 players. If you buy three $30 superstars right away, you then have $170 for your 20 remaining guys. You must "buy" your 23 starters with that money and after the auction there will be a six-man reserve round draft to fill in your reserves. After Draft Day, you again have an imaginary $1,000 FAAB budget to fill out your reserve roster.
