Let's Finalize The Super League For The First Weekend

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Feb 14, 2010 8:46 am

I'm hearing from some die-hard NFBC veterans who want to do another Super League, but that second weekend is already jam-packed with high dollar private leagues. So I thought I'd throw out the idea of making a Super League work on that first weekend, via any hookup we can get to fill it with 15 teams. We have space to host an extra draft at the Flamingo and Bally's and I would even allow phone hookups to make it work. If you don't like that format, don't consider. But if you don't mind having a lot of space at your draft table and lots of tough competitors in other locations, then consider this one.

We already have a few folks signed up for the Super League on Saturday, March 20th after the main event and a few on Sunday, March 21st at 1 pm ET, 10 am PT for the Ultimate League. I'll post those signed up already and see if there's any other interest in either format:

2010 NFBC SUPER LEAGUE

Saturday, March 20, 4 pm PT

1. Donn Johnson, Atlanta, Georgia (LV)

2. Kevin Bass, Potomac, Maryland (LV)

3. Gino Yu, Torrance, California (LV)

4. Steve Jupinka, Waldwick, New Jersey (P)

5. Rick Thomas, Lewes, Delaware (LV??)

6. Jim Stanard (P) Super or Ultimate

7. Robert Particelli (AC) Super or Ultimate

8. George Kleemann, Palatine, Illinois (P) Sat or Sun

9. Bruce Bevacqua (Sat or Sun)

10. Rob Silver, Toronto, Ontario (Sat or Sun)

11. Michael Lins (P)

12. Jeff Dobies (P)

13. Kent Stermon (P)

14. Yoni Bornstein (P)

2010 NFBC ULTIMATE LEAGUE

Sunday, March 21, 10 a.m. PT

1. Donn Johnson, Atlanta, Georgia (P)

2. Kevin Bass, Potomac, Maryland (LV)

I'm good with whatever the masses say. I'd just hate to leave anyone out of a Super or Ultimate League if they want to compete this year. ;) We can make it work, so converse here and let me know which way this is going. I think RT wants in on this first weekend too, so maybe we can get the momentum going on this after all. Thanks all.
