To late in the game for this. This is like a friend asking you to go to his house for the Superbowl and when you get there there's a note on the door saying he's watching it a a bar a half hour away and the bar has a 100 dollar cover. This feels like a selfish move??? SELFISH?? No, this is more like inviting someone over for the Super Bowl party at his trailer park and then leaving a note on the door that we're at the Playboy Mansion next door!!

Guys, for every negative post here I'm getting two emails saying they love the move. There are no Events Fees for this first weekend because we're not doing anything that we didn't promise before. If you seriously have a problem with staying at the Flamingo and drafting at the Bellagio, call me at 715-254-5553. I'll gladly listen to your gripes and talk this through.

This isn't too tough to walk through. The Flamingo is right across the street and we can still get you a room at the Bellagio if you'd like or even better. Call me now. I'm ready to talk.

I love these boards.

"and since you are not in vegas your opinion is worth ZERO."

I'm trying to put a positive spin on this so that dead money, like yourself, stick around. If you don't like my opinion, move on. I didn't specifically call you out for your 2 cents but you feel the need to blast me? I'm not in Vegas for the first weekend, yet. But......maybe now there is a chance. Bellagio sounds appealing.

"as far as basketball viewing.... are we there to draft or view basketball?... your point is moot."

Some of us, make the trip to Vegas BECAUSE of the opportunity to watch & wager on March Madness and draft these baseball teams. I'm proud to say I've been on board since day #1. Look, I'm sure that I can beat you from my home computer in these drafts, but it is much more fun doing this in Vegas because of NCAA basketball games. A lot of people travel a long distance specifically for this reason. If you can't realize this, then I guess my point IS moot to your eyes. But, that isn't saying much to me.

Greg/Ryan, congrats on another move in the right direction. I wish I could spend both weekends at Bellagio -- kudos to those who can.

Let me see what I can do to get some room rates down for the first weekend to ensure everyone is happy. It's out of my hands but I will see what we can do.

All we are trying to do is make the event better and more appealing. Sorry if we've infuriated some of you. So what is the difference in service between the 2 weekends? IE why does one get an events fee and one not. Happy for those first weekend folks, but on the surface does not seem fair to the 2nd weekend? Am I missing something?

I would imagine the 1st weekend Bellagio events fee has been waived as a goodwill gesture.

i have no idea what to make of this jibberish. are you going to vegas or not? so why do you care if im there as dead money or not? do you really need me in the overall so you dont finish dead last? do you work for the nfbc or fanball? why do YOU need to put a positive spin on it.

ive moved on... its a business move in a business world.

so sad sack of **** .. put your money where your mouth is and meet up in the exciting new bellagio venue.

Man your opinion of the Ballagio is high. Comparing it to the Playboy mansion? It's not that I am in love with the Flamingo but I am comfortable with the layout. It's just a little late in my opinion for the switch. I'm at the MGM Signature and the reason I booked it is to have a tram take me to the Flamingo. It's gonna be a tram to Bally's now and then across the street to Ballagio. Also, I'm not getting in till Friday night. I don't know how the Ballagio is set up but if it's anything like the Flamingo, the first year I was there it took me a while to find the draft room. Now for my comfort level I have to go to the Ballagio to find the draft room Friday night. This is not what I want to do.

It's not that I think Flamingo is superior at all. The Ballagio is a great place, but how is this move any better for anyone who isn't staying at The Ballagio. We just go into a room and pick names.

I just would have liked some warning that this was a possibility . I would have waited to book my room and put in for vacation time so I could have been more flexable.

I don't see a reason for calling you because this seems like a done deal and I don't know what you can do to help. But I do feel like I have the right to voice my opinion regardless if I am in the majority or not.

Also, I don't think my questions were addressed. Can you switch from week 1 to week 2 and what are the least amount of leagues you will have week 1.

Seriously, you must all have better things to do than post this crap. Some people simply need a reason to complain about anything, not a great way to live.

Whatever the powers that be decide is fine with me. I believe their doing a great job. Try picking out some positives to talk about.

Thanks.

Swamp:

I knew it wouldn't take much to push your buttons, still laughing at all of your anger and hostility.

I don't work for the NFBC, but it has provided a good source of income. Matter of fact, my 2 cents were delivered constructively at years end and have led to this years games being better and more affordable for several players this season.

I'll be participating both the first weekend and the second. Please come over and say hello. I'd welcome the chance to meet you in person. Till then, maybe see if you can reach out for Milton Bradley's therapist. You have some issues.

Nothing like we'll have the second weekend. That goes for the Friday events, too. On the second weekend, we have plenty of food and open bar at the end. So they are very different in how we are handling things.

We were planning the same at the Flamingo if needed, but both parties agreed to opt out of the contract. It's not like we did this alone. The Flamingo chose this option too, so maybe folks should understand what took place before once again they paint Ryan as the villain. Although for some of you, I know that's more fun.

Again, thanks to all those who emailed me and said we now have the best back-to-back event in Las Vegas. We hope to stay at this venue for years to come and if the Flamingo doesn't want to accommodate us we'll gladly move to the Bellagio.

I could very well be the dead money. There are seven open spots in my Double Play on Saturday, March 27th at the Bellagio at 7pm.

Maybe you could jump in to help fill the league?

[/QUOTE]Thanks and that answer makes perfect sense. I certainly hope that you did not deduct that I was making Ryan a villain by asking that question. It was a legitimate question. I think that if a rearrangement only means a few people have to walk a couple extra feet it is a great move and handled very fairly.
