Final Offerings For NFBC Slow Drafts

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sat Feb 20, 2010 11:57 pm

Okay, we are getting towards the end of the NFBC Slow Draft season since we need about three weeks of time to finish these. I'll leave signups open through the next two weeks and then we'll have to shut these down in order to finish them in time.

The $325's are now SOLD OUT. We did well with those and we wish all five leagues best of luck. What we'll offer are two versions of $125 Slow Drafts: a 45-round Draft Champions format with no inseason moves and a 30-round format with FAAB moves.

You can sign up for them two ways:

1. Leave your name and league that you want here on the boards or email [email protected]

2. Sign up online by:

Clicking on any Sign Up Now Link

Log-in as a returning NFBC user or sign in as a new user

Under Select Game select Satellites

Under Select Venue Choose $125 Draft Champion

Under Select Time select TBD

We will add the date of your draft after it's been completed

We will then start these drafts once they are filled up.

This format is 15 teams, 45 rounds and there are no free agent pickups after Draft Day. What you draft is what you have for the season. You can make weekly lineup changes, but only among the 45 players you drafted. Owners get 12 hours to make a pick, so you're not locked to your computer, and each pick is emailed directly to you so that you know where you are in the draft. It's a fun, fun way to draft with these usually taking around 21 days or so to finish. And the chat room becomes a nice social network, if you will, for the participants.

Here's the list of each event and the current signup lists:

No. 19, 45 rounds, no in-season moves

On MockDraftCentral.com starting when league fills

$125 Entry Fee, Pay $1,000 for first place, $375 for second and $125 for third:

1. Terry Passalacqua

2. John Kerr

3. Patrick Welsh

4. Tim McLeod

5. John Rozek

6. Ron Kraus

7. Travis Livingston

8. Michael Bozzi

9. Paul Spradling

10. Edward Bunker

11. Paul Weber

Here's another offering I'll make to the NFBC audience. We can do a 30-round NFBC $125 Slow Draft that plays out just like any other NFBC Satellite league during the season. So this offering allows you to make FAAB pickups during the season and run your team just like you normally would in any NFBC Satellite League, but we'll draft 30 rounds in a Slow Draft fashion to get the season started and we'll pay the Top 2. This format will be a Pay Top 3 just like we do for a $125 Satellite League. So it's $1,000 for first, $375 for second and $125 for third. Here's the offering and we'll take signups here:

$125 NFBC Slow Draft League No. 5 with FAAB moves, 30 Rounds

On MockDraftCentral.com starting when league fills

$125 Entry Fee, Pay Top 3: $1,000 for 1st, $375 for 2nd, $125 for 3rd:

1. Tom Breslin

2. Jim Frank

3. Mike O'Connor

4. Sharon Williams

Go ahead and sign me up for the 46 slow #18. I'll make it the last one before the big dance. Check and see if I've received my free satelite for playing in back to back weekends in the main. Either way, I'll register.

I can see this one taking off. Get your KDS preferences ready because we may have to set a deadline very soon. We might be drafting as early as tomorrow afternoon. Okay, who wants to do that?

Hey Greg,

Do you suppose there will be an opportunity for us to use the new drafting software for this slow draft #18? I think we're early enough in the game to be a good test for it.

I'd like the advantage of having two teams in the same league but some of the other competitors might not approve. You've got me down for #18 twice in the first post. Thanks anyway. Once is sufficient.

Probably wrong thread, but 125 slow draft #4 in progress and mock draft central has it down for 45 rounds in the draft room and it should be 30 rounds. Thanks
Well it isn't something I would hope for-------Kirk Gibson after getting hit in the face

Nice to see some fresh blood in #18.... I'm not getting any feedback on the possibility of drafting this in the new draft room!

No chance we could do that? I think this #18 would make a perfect test group.. experienced enough to know what we're doing, early enough where if we encounter problems, we'll have plenty of time to complete at MDC...
