Can We Fill An Ultimate Draft League On The Second Weekend?
Okay, there is interest in competing in an Ultimate Draft League that second weekend, but we need to see if there's still enough interest for one Super League and one Ultimate League. Some owners who signed up for the Ultimate League jumped into the Super League on Sunday, March 28th when it looked like the Ultimate League would fail.
I don't blame them and I promise they will remain in that Super League if we can't fill the Ultimate League. But I know that all of them really want to compete in the $5K league if it fills and so that will be our goal. There's still plenty of time to fill both on that final weekend, so let's focus on the right day and time now.
Okay, here is the lineup card for the Super League on Sunday, March 28th at 1 pm. All are guaranteed a spot in this one if nothing changes between now and five weeks from now:
NFBC SUPER LEAGUE
Sunday, March 28, 1 pm ET, Noon CT, 10 am PT
1. Anson Chan, Fort Lee, New Jersey (NY)
2. Matthew Ross, Wakefield, Rhode Island (NY)
3. Henry Tang, San Francisco, California (LV)
4. Leonard Ringle, New York City (NY)
5. Rusty Clark, Centerville, Ohio (CHI)
6. Max Nisson, Henderson, Nevada (LV)
7. John Crane, College Place, Washington (LV)
8. Brent Grooms, Tallahassee, Florida (LV)
9. Ken Magner/Jim Christie, Freehold, New Jersey (LV)
10. Shawn Johnson Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (P)
11. George Kleemann, Palatine, Illinois (P)
12. David Deterra, Jamestown, Rhode Island (NY)
13. Gino Yu, Torrance, California (LV)
14. Craig Kielinski, Exton, Pennsylvania (P)
15. Joe Berg, Fullerton, California (LV)
However, I know the following would stay on the Ultimate signup if we could do an Ultimate at the same time:
NFBC ULTIMATE LEAGUE
Sunday, March 28, 1 pm ET, Noon CT, 10 am PT
1. David McDonald, Bay Village, Ohio (LV)
2. Joe Berg, Fullerton, California (LV)
3. Gino Yu, Torrance, California (P)
4. Donn Johnson, Atlanta, Georgia (LV)
5. Glenn Lowy (only Sat or Sun night)
6. Alan Salem
7. Philip McDonald
8. Avi Weisfogel
Those on the Ultimate list can confirm their intentions and if anyone else wants to go on this list, I'll add you. Also, please let me know if you would be okay to do the Ultimate Draft League at 7 ET/4 PT on Sunday, March 28th. By moving it back to that hour, it's possible that we could fill this up. Some folks may do both the Super and Ultimate on Sunday and maybe we'd get some in the Diamond to also do the Ultimate after that.
We could do it on Saturday night, March 27th as well if folks want that instead. Feel free to post your intentions and the right time for you and we'll see where this takes us. We have time to make this work. We just have to work at it to put this great puzzle together.
Thanks all.

I am not available Sunday morning/early afternoon.
If this draft is offered either Saturday or Sunday night (7PM EST), you can put me down as a definite to upgrade from the Super to the Ultimate.

Okay, Philip McDonald has finally been able to shore up his travel plans for the NFBC and will be returning to the Bellagio on March 27-28 for the main event. He also wants to do an Ultimate League if it's available on Sunday, March 28th. I added him to the list. He will also do a Super League on Sunday if anyone jumps out of that one.
Here's our updated list of folks who have said they have an interest in the Ultimate League:
NFBC ULTIMATE LEAGUE
Sunday, March 28, 1 pm ET, Noon CT, 10 am PT
1. David McDonald, Bay Village, Ohio (LV)

3. Gino Yu, Torrance, California (P)
4. Donn Johnson, Atlanta, Georgia (LV)
5. Glenn Lowy (only Sat or Sun night)
6. Alan Salem (NY)

Okay, Avi Weisfogel wants to jump into an Ultimate League, Super League or whatever else we can put together on Sunday, March 28th. I just gave him a call and he jumped into the main event on the second weekend and wants to compete on Sunday as well. Awesome Avi and welcome back.
Okay, we are making progress and we're still 4+ weeks away from that Draft Day. I know folks want to finalize these leagues NOW, but give me a chance to make a few more phone calls and see what new interest is out there. We obviously have enough interest for a Super on Saturday night and a Super and/or an Ultimate League on Sunday and we want to make this work for everyone. All is good.
Here's what the Ultimate League is looking like:
NFBC ULTIMATE LEAGUE
Sunday, March 28, 1 pm ET, Noon CT, 10 am PT
1. David McDonald, Bay Village, Ohio (LV)
2. Joe Berg, Fullerton, California (LV)

4. Donn Johnson, Atlanta, Georgia (LV)
5. Glenn Lowy (only Sat or Sun night)
6. Alan Salem
7. Philip McDonald

I'm not sure who Fast Money is....what I am sure of is that he won't be the sole decision maker on the Ultimate's start time.
Greg, whatever you decide is fine by me, but as you know I am only available Saturday or Sunday night 7pm EST or later.
Thanks for trying to make the Ultimate happen,
Glenn

Mr. X,
Relax, I didn't mean to dictate a start time for anything. I simply used that time because it's what's been posted from the beginning and anyone signing up will have that impression as well as it's still listed that way.
If a change is needed to attract a full field then that's fine. Possibly you have a date with the WCOFB that morning. No problem.
