'Alfonzo Soriano says his knee is 80-85 percent, while mentally he is not 100 percent (insert own joke here)'

Meanwhile, Pat Burrell says, "I am a lot more prepared as far as physically and especially mentally"

After reading those two blurbs, I am conviced that Soriano being secure with many years left on his contract and Burrell being in a contract year, is purely coincidence.

'Bobby Jenks quit drinking and lost 25 pounds.'

...After hearing an earfull of Ozzie, sober, we'll see how long it takes for Jenks to find some Corona Comfort...hmm, Corona Comfort, Country song?

'Russ Martin comes to camp 25 pounds heavier'

Bobby Jenks, we have located those lost pounds.

Give away that third baseman's glove.

In the clubhouse Loney and Martin do a great 'Laurel and Hardy'

////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Martin has been trolling these boards and discovered your patented "Fat Guys Rule" for injury-avoidance and career-longevity, while Jenks' newfound sobriety makes reading the boards insufferable.

Gotta love the early spring training noise..Here's a few more nuggets...

Julio Borbon is hoping to steal 50 bases this season

Troy Glaus was "effortlessly hitting bombs" in batting practice Tuesday.

Chase Headley is excited about moving back to third base this season and believes it will help his all-around game.

"This Heyward kid looks like Fred McGriff with 20 more pounds on him out in right field," said Jones. "He is built. He is put together. And he means to do some damage when he walks to that plate."

With all due deference to our fearless leader, Corona is possibly the most overrated beer ever. It's PBR with a lime slice. Please someone introduce Greg to a real beer?

'The Yankees plan to use Kei Igawa as a left handed reliever specialist this year'

This is a good thing. Igawa can't throw right handed very well.

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

'Stephen Strasburg will only pitch home games in spring training this year'

The Nationals may have more attendance for these games than regular season games

'The Royals plan to take it easy this spring with Willie Bloomquist'

Franchise players just get this kind of respect
